Being new to it is really true.. bcoz I’m now 26 and got my heart broken when I was 19yrs old, I got cheated.. and after being single for almost 7yrs, and now has a new boyfriend which is also a german and on long distance relationship.. my insecurity and pessimist brain side will think “what if he’s cheating on me or keeps on talking to another girl or etc etc and that overthinking will makes me depress..
but so far we’re good.. it’s just my overthinking that making the best of me but am also trying to fight with it

You are so lovely! My fiancé lives in the same country (Sweden) but about 6 hours away with train. I’ve never visited him, he only comes here since I can’t leave my pets (7 rats and a hamster). We actually got to know each other via the Swedish pet rat community. But he doesn’t have any pets now. Both of us don’t work because of disabilities. He’s here every month for about 2 weeks. In a week he comes back and we will go to spend the night at Sweden’s most haunted house with my mom, stepdad and uncle. You guys are super lovely! Lots of love from Sweden 💕

OHHH The southern part of Germany is soooo beautiful. I've spend most of my summer breaks there with camping with my family in SChwarzwald near Freudenstadt.
I met a man online in Poland. We talk a lot every day and every weekend we do video calling.
We both have busy days so thats why. This summer we had a great time together.

The only way to survive a long distance is that both partners want each other and are willing to put some extra work = following your feelings instead overthinking everything. Most people start overthink and are not willing to invest into future but instead prefer instant gratification. My ex decided against our relationship due to long distance (which is ridiculous comparing to your long distance!) despite us having strong connection from the very beginning. He preferred to overthink everything and rather to be with someone who is not such a great match but because it's convenient. I even heard people (usually men) saying that! I couldn't believe it. How sad is that?! My parents were married and had my sister and me when they were forced due to father's work to live in two different countries in the late 80's and early 90'. Their relationship survived that period while so many get divorced because of one or both partners having affairs and wanting instant gratifications. You can feel, not only see that you two are great match and supportive of each other. Wishing you all the best for the future! ❤

Relate to you Uyen 😢 its hard to have Ldr but we love each other my irish bf is also loyal but its hard physically when we miss each even everyday we're also consistent in our communication. It also comes a time i want to break up coz its hard but he doesnt want so he came and assure me he really like me. We're compliment each other and support each other, we accept each other even our flaws as well and we still getting a nice relationship that his mom and brother already knows about me as well him with my whole family 😊
Ldr is so hard that its not for people who have short patience 😅 and with doubtful resolve coz both should consistently communicate, trust, and respect each other to work it out.

My wife and I were in a 19 year LDR. We were very patience. Her son was still young, so we waited until he graduated college. Also it took awhile for me to be able to afford the costs. The American embassy never had anyone do a LDR that long. We are so happy we're married now. We started emailing in 2000. Then chat. She didn't have internet at the house, and had to travel to an internet café. When Facebook started messenger we chatted twice a day. When video chat came, it was video chats. We sent cards to each other, I'd sent Valentine roses.
