It’s even worse in Mexico, they kidnap women in Uber and other apps

It's Lyft. The background check for Uber is way more intensive than Lyft. I drive for both, mostly Uber side. My background checks take weeks on Uber, and just days on Lyft. I've had multiple because I've switched areas, and about to do so again.

Due to the advice of the counsel of he, himself, and his inner thoughts, he has chosen to plea the 5th, and he can neither confirm or deny any documents or allegations levied before him.

(If you read this whole thing. Thank you and have a good day.)

One of the many reasons I don't think it should be legal to have sealed settlements or sealed evidence.

Companies would be a lot more hesitant to take advantage of their employees, customers, or tax law if they knew that WHEN not IF they get sued for it that even if they get away with it legally, the information will come out regardless.

lol he had to actually say it was a “hypothetical” (we can infer that it’s not a hypothetical but he’s not making a declarative statement cause he’s a good lawyer and not a dumbass) after the Walmart video where people in the comments were claiming he made definitive statements despite the fact he began the entire thing by stating “let’s imagine” which is literally the set up for a “hypothetical” scenario

Legit, good faith question: I knew a business owner in Georgia that hired people as independent contractors to save money. The state of Georgia comes after him saying if it's their only source of income they're not independent contractors, they're employees, and legally have to be treated as such (taxes, and deductions, and SSI, unemployment insurance, and all the other stuff he wasn't paying). If that's true, how does Uber get away with this crap?

Like hypothetically, anonymous individuals COULD attempt to recover the files from your office (for personal or otherwise motivated reasons) and upon learning about such facts and offenses turn in this evidence to proper authorities

Kind of sad for history that those hypothetical documents get destroyed. Legal cases are great information for historians but it's really got to mess with historical analysis when a bunch of relevant documents tend to get destroyed with settled cases.

Yep, i 100% believe that. I was graped by a (yellow+blue - mixed) cab driver who was not even a U.S. citizen. Went to the cops & they "investigated" a bit, but they really didn't care, just wasted tax-payer dollars, and no arrest was ever made. Im pretty sure he had drugged me, and the disgusting pig charged me for the entire time we were on the date, even tho i paid for the whole date, as well. Avoid (Yellow +Blue - Mixed) Cabs in the Twin Cities for this and many other incidences of dishonest cabbies. Ive had a total of 2 or 3 good experiences with (Yellow +Blue - Mixed) Cab drivers, and two of those were with white, male, U.S. citizen cab drivers. The vast, vast, VAST majority of my (Y+B - M) Cab experiences have been HORRIBLE. Mooslam foreigners overshooting my destinations, taking wrong turns & trying to "go around" by a mile outta my way when his wrong turn is making me late, they pull over to find the route on their ATLAS BOOK for 5 minutes & they don't think to turn off the meter, etc., etc., etc. And NOT ALL their white, male, U.S.-born drivers are good men, either. I could only get a "smoking cab" once, & the a-hole wouldn't let me have my window down so i could breathe. "THE AIR CONDITIONER IS FOR YOUR. COMFORT!" Yeah, right...its for YOUR comfort, itch-bay. And he forced me to pay for every IQ-point i lost while i was suffocating for the whole 6-mile, in-town ride. Psycho-fxcks.

I think Lawyer rules need to ne reworked... make them the police of the people and have them go after all these caes.
Would give a lot of respect to that profession too if lawyers constantly sue companies for the bullshit they see but cant talk about under these rules.

Could you be liable for not?

I can just imagine if lawyers never destroyed files they'd run out of file space. But, if they do and the case comes back up they can't reference what they had if they do. And files take a lot less space than they used to.

Even if he doesn't destroy the files, what is he going to do with them? He can't expose any of that information, because it will lead back to him and then he will have commited a crime, not only of publicising it, but also of not carrying out the mandatory destruction. It is frustrating.
