Cross-country ski track setting in Finland

Setting up and pulling a DIY groomer and track setter behind our 2009 @skidoo Skandic 550F.

We live in the middle of nowhere in Finland, so every winter we set up a walking and skiing trail around our fields to take the dog out and do some skiing.

I made the groomer last fall based on the video from @northwoodsengineered . I watched a few similar videos and found their design to be the best for my needs and easiest to build with the materials and tools I have access to.

The track setter itself is from @IronBaltic-ATV-UTV-Accessories . I bought it last year to pull behind our ATV. The problem of course was that the ATV won't make it through a meter of snow pulling a track setter, so I had to first clear the snow with the tractor, almost down to the grass, then pull the track setter. Double the work for not-so-great results!
