22 magnum rounds at the same time....i think within 30 yards both will do the trick lol

Number 4 buck is hard to come by in 20 g with the flight control wad 'works the best in my gun

I sympathize with the notion of minimizing stray pellets in a densely populated city, but self-defense deems that in the heat of the moment we shouldn’t have to be Annie Oakley. A shotgun is not a rifle.

The variables are way too much in this video. First short range 00 buck, 2 and 3/4, long range over 20 yards under 50 yards yards, slugs or rifle. In using buck also use full choke. Most all modern shotguns come with changeable chokes. Full choke gives the tightest pattern, improved cyl. The more open pattern. If you have to ask what are chokes? Than you are not ready to protect your family, in fact you are more a danger to them with any gun.

I can't find 10ga ammo of buck shot, but I have 3 1/2" bb lead, 2 1/4 ounce, I think it will stop anything inside of 25 foot😂I maybe wrong but I wouldn't want to see the hole or outcome, just my 2 cents in the argument 😂

Those buckshot mini shells work great in my Stoeger double defense shotgun. 3/4 the recoil and with the single trigger I can get off two very fast back to back shots on target, No possibility of short stroking the action. I know I am in the minority on this one but for home defense I prefer my HK45 with a mounted light which leaves my other hand available for cell phone, door knobs or dealing with my wife and dog.

I just bought a Remington 870 12 gauge back in January.Along with 10 rounds of 00 buckshot.Recently one of my co workers just gave me a bunch of shotgun shells,nothin' like free ammo.I'll take it when I can find it.😃

The most important thing to know is that single-projectile ammunition is better for almost every purpose.

I prefer triple-0 to double-0. The penetration on hogs seems to be a bit more robust, with what seems to be greater odds at an "anchoring-shot". You get 8 pellets instead of 9... and the recoil is just a shade higher, too. The downside is that off-the-shelf is a lot less common. I've used double-0, and that's just fine, too, so if that's all you can find... you don't have anything to worry about.

Outstanding vid! That said, I only use my shotgun for deep, penetrating, slugs, in grizzly country. Otherwise, the shotgun is one of the poorest weapons used in a defensive scenario.

Great points. Home defense is situational, and user-dependent. Important to note that a five-round tube need not be stacked with the same cartridges (i.e. two single-aught followed by a slug, etc.).

I saw a video of someone putting holes in a roast with a 9mm. I then saw that someone shredding that roast with 1 shot of 00 12 gauge buckshot.

I once held in my hands a 3/4 gage shotgun. A muzzle loader, punt gun.
