Well Im from Oz and Im blowed if I know how you guys can pour maple syrup over everything..its a sweet thing so why pour it over eggs, chicken or bacon??? Always fascinating to see what other countries eat. Mind you if you do one of our big train trips here I gather they feed the travellers wildlife like crocodile, emu, kangaroo, deer etc etc...while kangaroo is in many supermarkets these days there is no way I will eat Skippy, Bambi, Rudolph and the like. Its beef, pork, chicken or fish for me (lamb being too expensive) thanks for the education Josh.

If you're in the area between The Capitol and Temple Square, the houses they used for the film Halloween for Michael Meyers and Laurie are in this neighborhood. Most of the film Halloween was shot around UT. I lived a few blocks away from where they shot Meyers' school. Lots and LOTS of film history here.

If you like performing arts we've also go the Utah Symphony which is top tier in the country. There's the Tabernacle Choir (internationally recognized) and the Symphony at Temple Square is equally as good. Then there is Ballet West, a top ballet company renowned world wide as well. Among many other groups. The symphony does lots of out door concerts in the summer months. A fun one is up at Sundance Ski Resort where they do a concert in an amphitheater on the mountain side. Hell, Sundance film festival is in Park City. Robert Redford's home is just across the street from the ski resort Sundance. Quite a few celebrities have homes in Salt Lake or Park City, a few have actually moved here to live and own restaurants or bars in town. You'd probably be shocked at just how many movies and tv shows are filmed here, constantly. to the point where they put out calls for extras all the time for productions.
