Bitcoin won't be volatile once it's worth as much as all gold on a sustained basis. You can never eliminate all of the trust in a gold transaction, but you can with bitcoin. Biggest risk to gold is bitcoin outdoing it, but I think they are complimentary.

Poppy cock!! Gold is money and it does not behave like a commodity. It does not behave as a proxy for energy and it does not behave like mere currencies ie. media of exchange. If your premises are wrong your models and and conclusions will produce garbage results. Read Antal Fekete and Carl Menger who write about monetary science.

Gold, claim on the past. Credit and debt, claim on the future. Treasury issues gold. Fed issues debt. We created America to have gold and silver money to avoid debt wars, like WWI and WWII, America was forced into.
