Note to Jimmy. Don't put oil on your tires!
ОтветитьThat intro 😂
ОтветитьJezus christ the plugs just keep getting longer and longer.6 plus minutes on this one.
ОтветитьI think I've been running less lands also as an effect of becoming a better player as well as more dual and tri lands become available for my budget. A really important thing to remember, there's no algorithm or substitute for experience!
ОтветитьId like to see all my shadows come back.. damn I miss 97
ОтветитьIm building my 1st deck from scratch that based on playing from graveyard and to combat opponents milling you to death. Id like to see a video that helps with that.
ОтветитьJosh’s point about treating shoru as a 5 drop is something I’ve adopted into playing more and more. Wait one turn and play it off curve when you KNOW you can protect it is the right move Imo. Playing your commander then getting it removed same turn is ultra feels bad.
ОтветитьI love the car analogy. Realistically, in Commander, we just don't want a lemon that just breaks down all the time.
ОтветитьConniving as a mechanic scales so well.
ОтветитьHow do you incorporate spells that cost “x” ?
ОтветитьStonecoil Serpent is insane for scaling late game. Run it in Lucea Kane and it rocks but it's just a good card.
Impulsive Pilferer scales great because of its encore.
Cardkingdom and Channel Fireball are fighting to death for these guys.
ОтветитьIs artifact or creature ramp better? Many artifacts mentioned but in a go wide strategy ramp creatures should be better...🤔
ОтветитьAlaundo gets around high cmc cards, love it
ОтветитьJimmy love you man but your hair looks like you were just born all matted down, sorry had to say it.
ОтветитьMy commander is 3 and most of my cards are 1 to 3 mana. It works cause most of my cards have draw and the point is to get all instants into my grave yard. So my commanders point is to play late game as a finisher with multikicker.
Can anyone guess the commander?
I wish that there were more things that cost 2 that give you 1 mana per turn. A Sky Diamond that enters untapped would be the next biggest commander staple along with the talismans and signets.
ОтветитьI wanna see that mutate omnath with the everythings a forest land so you can hold and use the fetches, crack them when omnath is out n cloned
ОтветитьEverflowing chalice
ОтветитьLoved the intro. Thanks for the content
Ответить"Doing things turns out to be important..."😂
ОтветитьVery good episode 😊
ОтветитьI have a rule I won't go under 36 lands because I don't like mulliganing when I don't have a good hand. I do play mana crypt and sometimes Jeweled Lotus in my decks. I only need one real copy, my other decks have $4 proxies. I like to build my decks optimally for the most part but I don't net deck and I'm not building cedh. I like to find strategies that are fun and powerful enough to win the game but that allow me to play more high drops by ramp, cost reduction, or cheating them. I have some tribal decks but even those don't have low curves. I'm not interested in seeing how fast I can play out my hand. I do believe in efficiency obviously but I do not run that many one or two drops. I usually don't care if I play something on turn one or not. I definitely play more threes then anything else. My number of two and three drops is closer to what you guys played 5 years ago. I probably play more four drops than you guys. Anything over that I consider to be a high drop and that varies based on the strategy of the deck. My average CMC is typically between like 3.5 and 4.25 because of the cost reduction and playing things for free or cheating the cost. When I'm not doing that though, the avg CMC ends up being around 2.75 to 3.
ОтветитьYou can jam it wit me
ОтветитьI really love how Giada, Font of Hope supports the mana curve. Having a guaranteed 2 drop that you can tap for mana helps with the heavy cost of angel creatures! Also looking forward to the upcoming rat tribal deck, which will have a super low mana curve because rats are so tiny lol
ОтветитьThese people are the only people I've heard say anything good about ultra pro sleeves.
Ответить“The player who has spent the most mana in game normally wins”. Proceeds to play against an Atla Palani, the nest Tender deck ☠️
ОтветитьI would honestly love to start playing magic but it is by far the most expensive trading card game to try to play especially if you want to play in standard which I absolutely don't, what format would be best for me I like using pretty much any card that has come out in the game, I would like to run four copies of each card available, and I'm tired of facing mono artifact day I know little to nothing about magic formats or honestly meta anything, I really enjoyed playing the game it's very fun I play a golgari ramp deck with a very interesting manicure most of my cards are too drops and I have a total of 10 cards that are above five mana
ОтветитьIf your reading this just remember I would legit give anything to work for yall.
ОтветитьAs someone who works in a hotel bar on the beach opening with jammin was great
ОтветитьHey..butter isn't scary, folks. And vegetables aren't all that great for ya.
ОтветитьThis video made me revisit my decks (have them all online) and optimizing the mana curve. I‘m excited to see, how this will smooth out the play patterns :)
ОтветитьThanks for the tips! I was a noob and blamed budget. Now I understand playing on curve is more important than not playing at all
ОтветитьHe said Roth IRA, which is the one you can withdraw from. Shout out to Josh for not correcting him
ОтветитьWhy would you start a video like that
ОтветитьFor your "allowance" analogy: Mana is "perishable" it goes bad...
ОтветитьI'd love to see an episode where you build a commander deck from scratch.
ОтветитьI usually don’t like that song. But that was refreshing haha
ОтветитьHey Jimmy what mtg arena rank earns me a highfive?
ОтветитьOmg Ik that song 😂😂😂 you guys butchered that one 😂😂😂 awesome video
ОтветитьYou guys sad should form a Acapella band
ОтветитьShould I cut commander sphere if my commander is a 3 drop?
ОтветитьYou crazy guys have wanted to do that for years I bet. :P
ОтветитьI've been using the "reap the tides precon" and it seems pretty good, for just casual. The commander allows me to play 2 lands a turn, and draw a card for each land I put down. You can also have cards that allow you to play lands from your graveyard, so let's say you don't have a land in your hand, but 2 turns ago you sacrificed an "evolving wilds" you can play that from graveyard, draw a card, sac it, draw a card off the land that just came into play, and then play it again and draw 2 more cards. The only issue this precon really has, is it has a LOT of high cmc creatures, it has like 10, 7-8 mana creatures. Theres been way too many times I can't make a play, or put anything down, draw my card for turn, and... 8 mana creature.
ОтветитьJimmy is addicted to making analogies.
ОтветитьI definitely lean more towards commanders that aren’t as easy to detain with Lavinia. Enough colours also run control now that attacking with a creature for damage is rarely my strategy. I am less interested in running low mana aggressive creatures in EDH, favouring the long game with a higher cost and after setting up my dominoes in earlier turns.
