The house of Gremory (which he belongs to after he died) already has this chess aesthetic, where Issei being given the title of Pawn, is free to change his type to any of the other chess pieces if he chose to (This is mainly for big fights.) And by doing this, Issei also gains the power of said chess piece, since each fighter has a style which is strongly tied to the chess piece they represent.

Coming back to this theory after inazuma, it makes so much sense. Gnosises granting visions make so much sense, as Ei says that she doesn't grant visions, but once she gave her vision to Yae Miko, no more visions appeared.

I don’t think that the bit about Ei is true, honestly. Yae Miko gave the Gnosis away really easily, and to quote her, “She no longer needs the power of the Gnosis, and in any case, she tells me she has severed ties with Celestia.” In other words, the Gnosis meant nothing to Ei.

The traveler is the pawn why? The traveler can wield anemo (queen) electro (bishop) geo (rook) pawn can ascend any piece. But the question is who is the king ?

This theory has so much sense tbh, definitely more than any other theory.

Celestia manipulated the Archons to destroy Khaenri'ah forcefully. Since Tsaritsa is the Goddess of Love, she felt pity for the innocent humans who did nothing wrong still she have to kill them by her own hands bcoz she has no control. After this Incident she became Heartless, Established the Fatui to start the Gnosis Hunt Mission and to rebel against Celestia. Because of her Heartless nature Nowadays no one likes her (this connects the lines in Travail). Except the Fatui Harbingers ofcourse.

If the cryo archon doesn’t want allogenes, then why is she still handing out cryo visions to people like Qiqi and Eula?

so I have a theory about venti losing his gnosis zhongli giving away his gnosis and yae giving scarmouche ei,s gnosis let me know on your opinion!




so I believe that the gnosis venti zhongli and ei lost were fake I believe that the characters were aware of the fatui gathering gnosis and from some intel I heard that the gnosis are what let’s the gods use their powers and to get those powers they need connection to celestia so they made fake gnosis with elemental energy in them and with a tracking device so when the fatui obtain them all the archons and celestia will be able to destroy the fatui also when it comes to the 2 royal siblings I believe the sister who became evil is signora.

I'm just spit balling here but

We know that the other sibling was present in the destruction of Khanriah.What if they had a close relationship with all 7 archons and was supposed to be the 8th or the king genosis due to their ability to control the elemets of the other seven genosis but refused the seat and let Khanriah be a nation without a God I mean Venti was able to make Mondstadt a land without a ruler.

Celestia became enraged by this and to prove to them that a land without a god is weak she made the other archons attack Khanriah but the cryo archon being the god of love and the Dendro archon actually supporting how human civilization was advancing sided with Khanriah but eventually the Dendro archon was killed and the Cryo archon was forced to betray her dearest friend and side with Celestia(Which would explain the nursery rhyme sung by Childe's younger brother).

The sibling witnessing just how wicked the Gods of Tavet were awakened their slumbering sibling so they can leave the land for good but were stopped by an unknown God.

The Tsuritsa might be planning to restore Khanriah but expents Celestia to resist using visions so she's using delusions as a counter

Now let's talk about paimon.I don't know much about her to have a theory about her but looking how things in Tavet work in pairs maybe she's connected to Celestia somehow like a part of her she discarded and ended up with the traveler or looking at her time manipulating ability it might be that Celestia is the goddess of Space and Paimon is the goddess of time but the actual relationship between them is hard to say

I didn't go too deep into the lore so my theory might have a lot of holes

i was actually laughing when paimon froze and flung backward after signora attack us in the cutscene lmaoo

Kaeya has to choose between Khaenri'ah (His homeland that abandoned him) and Mondstadt (The place that took him in)

Ayaka struggles with making friends because of her status (She wants to make friends, but finds it hard)

Diona hates wine and wants to destroy the wine industry, but is one of the best cocktail mixers

Chongyun is an Exorcist (Nephew of Shenhe) from a clan on exorcists, yet he's never seen an evil spirit because of his yang (positive) energy

Eula is a decendent of the old aristocrats that ruled over Old Mondstadt, she's hated because of it. She joined the knights to protect the people of Mondstadt which caused her own family to hate on her.

Rosaria (idk her that well) is a nun but she wants to do things nuns aren't exactly allowed or smth

Qiqi is stuck between the world of the living and dead, polar opposites.
She's a zombie.
An undead.
Not quite dead....not quite alive either.

Aloy is from a different game so who cares about her.

please let the tsaritsa be a kid like qiqi and klee i dont really care about her personality from there but imagine we have this idea she is some elegant cold woman and she is really some little kid

Did the dendro archon really die though? Slimes behave like their corresponding elemental Archons and dendro slimes tend to hide, something Kusanali doesn't do.

It’s really interesting coming back to this video so many months later. Knowing how Ei feels, and how the gnosis are moving across Teyvat, it’s wild how accurate some of this initial speculation came to be.

Side note rant: The upside down Statue of the Seven from the ruins in the “We Will Be Reunited” quest looks an awful lot like a Pawn piece— could be more foreshadowing for that elusive Chekov’s Gun. With this theory, it gives a lot more evidence to the fact that the Delusions currently being granted are truly the sad pawns that the Tsaritsa has to sacrifice in order to win the chess game.

Nobody likes to sacrifice a pawn, the Tsaritsa probably doesn’t want to either, it’s just what she sees as a way to win the game. I’m interested in seeing how the story plays out.

hmmmm, after watching this, I now kinda feel like the fatui and abyss aren't as evil as we perceive them to be 😶😶

Raiden Makoto died in the cataclysm, the dendro archon also died 500 years ago. What if they joined Celestia in the war against Khaenriah? and they met their demise their?

I think that Khaenriah became like the babylon. Khaenriah could be the greatest nation in Teyvat. But because of their obsessions to rival the Celestia they plan to reach Celestia, and maybe they did rage war on Celestia. thus prompting Celestia to destroy Khaenriah even before the war started.

Now I am very much getting the answers to my questions. Thank you. And yes I believe it, that is why I guess. Electro Archon use Raiden Shogun to get in front, Caz she can't be modified with corruption.

Now that the electro story quest came out we all know that baal would destroy scaramoch with or without a gnosis

so the tree is God ... the 3 moon sisters where the 3 principles they become corrupted and jealous of each other and destroyed each other.

Celestia or the floating palace of the sky people comes in at the same time and becomes the mew gods ...

the had the kingdom of dragon spine mining the resources of the great white tree it trade for tech ...

the tree being under attack burst out its power creating 3 new gods to protect it self and the new gods made demi gods and destroyed the floating palace an people and that is when the pillar or nail fell ......

and why celestia looks in shambles and flying on a tilt .....

the nameless god stayed there to keep watch and destroy ant remaining tech in order to protect the tree and the people from the honkai

and in order to do so took tyvet and put it inn a sealed bubble with a false sky and moon ... till it can ensure the safety of the tree



the travelers are the last 2 survivors of the sky people as the missed the boat ,, and are trying to find the world the sky place left for

this is why there gold wings match the wings of the god in dragon spine paintings and several other painting and also tapestry in the game



and this is why the nameless god would not let them leave



now as for the who are the reincarnation of the 2 sisters power .. well simple the only 3 people with cosmic capes ..

Piamon the nameless god and the Dainslif ....... Piamon knocked down in the war and not remembering fully of what she is

Dainslief accidentally absorbed the power when the 3rd incarceration as it was struck down in the war ..we saw the only pure soul close to the tree at the time ..as he was protecting it... and he does not fully understand that he is now a God ........yet he understands why the world must be kept in the dark ages

Baal’s gnosis wasn’t actually forcibly taken, I believe. She willingly gave it to Yae Miko when she went to the Euthymia. And then Yae gave it to Scaramouche for whatever reason. I fully believe it’s because she didn’t want to be connected to Celestia. She didn’t want to be spied on and controlled. Yae Miko knew this, and knows that Baal may be in agreement with the Tsaritsa, so she gave it willingly. That’s just my view on it.

What if the archons actually fought against celestia, for the people of khaenria‘ah and lost

Celestia then maybe threatened them to stop or perhaps, not to say anything since they did state a contract forbidding them to tell anything
The dendro archon was slain during the archon war, destroying Sumerus vegetation

Perhaps the first electro archon was slain differently, since there was no outburst of power after her death
Perhaps she wanted to warn the human or start a rebellion against celestia so they took her power and killed her behind everyone’s back, warning the other archons not to act against celestia

since we have discovered baal's true intentions and that visions are not gifted by archons, id love to see an updated version of this theory!

It's just obvious that the gods will not just sit and watch as the humans attack the other nations and conquer the land of teyvat. I think that it was good that khaenre'ah was destroyed other wise they could have ruled teyvat mercilessly.

Late comment to this but what if the peices also correspond to the weapon class the archon wield? 5 unique weapons and 4 special peices categories. Rook would be spear/pole arm, queen would be bow (as there's only one queen) and I forget what baals gnosis is but I'm going to assume knight. That means most likely the bishops are gonna be catalyst users. And since we theorize dendro is a polearm/rook, that means 2 of hydro, Pyro, or cryo will use catalysts

I have a feeling that "us" the traveler is The Pawn and that the king piece will be celestia or an 8th element like we see the abyss use & Dainsleif. This is just a theory tho.

funny how, months later, this theory ended being way cooler than the story we actually got.

Ah baal locked her own gnosis away in a shrine or was given to miko cause she wanted to cut of her ties with celestia and also her Gnosis was of king's piece tbh, just put the loading screen animation symbols aligned with a chess board and you'll see

It's similar to the anime No game no life where the MC has to collect all the chess piece from different nations.
