my problem is with pressure on the ischial bones, the two protuding parts of the hip bone that contact the seat. In about half an hour or so, the tissue arround that part starts to get tingly and later it starts hurting. Installing bar risers helped a lot because as soon as I sit more upright, because of the reduced angle of the legs vs the torso, those bones retract a bit lets say and more support is given by the thighs and the gluteus muscles. My question is Pavlin, if you ever had discomfort in that area, did the 3D mesh helped with this particular problem? Or in short, did it help with removing pressure points ?

Have to say, i agree that almost every new seat from a new bike is kinda needing an upgrade

But lots of japanes tourers from the 2000s have very comfortable stock seats IMO. Pan european, Deauville, FJR come to mind

i almost liked all of the video from this guy, but this one is pure bullshit. This mesh once it rains, absorbs water and stays wet for a long time. Gel seat when fitted properly can do wonders. Unfortunately most of the people dont know how to use it. Enjoying gel seat in my z900. hell and heaven difference.

Are you serious about mesh my friend? I was looking to buy a seat from US, from a known company, I'm not gonna name it, and your video just came up. On my excf bike used for TET trips, the seat is my worst enemy after the 3rd day. Do you think the mesh can help on the racing enduro bike seat? Thanks.. amazing 😀

I do have an issue with my ktm 890 adventure, the original seat is too hard, i have the ergo that is heated and no big change, probably is the same thing with a gel pad and heated. Going to try this mesh solution and aply a small thin extra foam of the original seat

Glad we didnt get a live shot of the two red lines...anyway, just put on two or three pair of underpants, not the ones with seams, as after a while the seam creates a red line /sore spot on the derriere...I am testing two small bath mats sewn together so stay tuned

I know it's a bit weird, but I found that silk boxer shorts make a massive difference. Less chaffing as you move on the seat, and you feel like Hugh Heffner. Nice.

I have an airhawk type inflatable pad UNDER my mesh seat cover. The cover holds the airhawk in place , thus eliminating the problem of it shifting. Best of both worlds. I am loving it.

I also have good experience with the 3D mesh. Especially air flow and less heat and sweat.
I really like your videos, they are full of great content. Thanks !

I just ripped my seat apart and put gel under the cover. I could also have used memory foam, but experience differs somewhat more on that. Your experience seems to cover "put on top solutions". But what about "built in solutions"?

Thx Pavlin for this video! Very interesting. I will test it now. What do you prefer for a 3D Mesh: 3mm, 5mm, 10mm ore more? Greetings from Germany ✌️

Interesting! I will give it a try. I have a a Varadero and it’s quite comfortable for about 2 hours and then I need to stop and eat. I have been eating quite a lot lately and I now have a very 3D arse which may help with comfort too!😂

My Airhawk works great! Very comfortable. I just wrapped a little electrical tape round the clips so they don't slip off and pull the straps snug. It never moves.

I’ll be buying the mesh online now

One question

1 - what bike did you buy in Ireland? I like the old Irish number plate on the wall

Safe riding
John
