Yes, another Google / Facebook video—I swear I'm not sponsored by them! I hope you all appreciate the transparency in this video!
ОтветитьWhy don’t people stay in FAANG (maang) or tech in general, as software engineers specifically, for extended amounts of time?
ОтветитьDo you recommend to start at 30 with a MSCS?
ОтветитьI don't quite understand, are these compensations after taxes or before?
ОтветитьIt's amazing I'm curious though In your opinion what level of math do u believe a newbie would have to be at in order to work as a software engineer?
ОтветитьThanks for the being super-transparent! Very helpful!
ОтветитьWhat about the annual stock target?
Ответитьfantastic transparency!
ОтветитьI'm trying to figure out if the money facebook makes is ethical or not. Basically just farming people's personal information in exchange for a messenger and photo sharing (both features available on other private platforms). It starts to make you wonder... should facebook exist in the first place?
Or should we celebrate high paying jobs from simple messaging and photo sharing features...
I'm torn in between there somewhere.
Clement is as clear as he looks
ОтветитьAs someone who works in education, this is so incredibly confusing lol. Do they offer any materials or training to help me employees understand the different aspects of their salary?
ОтветитьYou should highlight ur points also
ОтветитьThank you so much for inspiring me, i currently have zero knowledge of coding.
Ответитьim trying to going too uni for programming then i hope i can take a bachlor.
ОтветитьWait, so you used google search to calculate your google salary. How can you trust it??? What if they manipulate it and show a higher number?!?!?! :D
ОтветитьAre you earning more now than what you would have earned working at tech companies?
ОтветитьThank you for your transparency! You are awesome!
ОтветитьNice lisp bro
ОтветитьSuper transparent thank you, all hero’s don’t wear capes
ОтветитьThis guy is funny and entertaining
Ответитьfun fact: Google is horrible at naming!
ОтветитьAbsolutely smashed the like button😊
ОтветитьYes kids, if you can work in tech, you should work in tech.
ОтветитьI want to envy you for your salary, but I appreciate your transparency so much that I somehow feel happy for you for your high salary.(though not really happy still) Really good job :) Thanks for your sharing
ОтветитьA lot of asian girls would LOVE to have your skin tone. Maybe not in US. In Asia, they pay top money to get that skin tone.
ОтветитьThat moment when L1 salary is higher than L3 salary by 20k lmfao
Ответитьbrb going to apply at google
ОтветитьThe Facebook bonus was semi-annual (10%), so totaled 20% annually. (5% more than GOOG). Worth noting!
ОтветитьBro I wanna work at google so badly. Hope the invite me via kick start xxxD
ОтветитьNote that if he didnt sell he has like 250-300 k google stocks
ОтветитьFunniest way I've been asked to hit that Like button!
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing this valuable information with us 🙏
ОтветитьThe world is a crazy place to live. Life is so different.
I started to work back in 2016 as a Junior Java engineer in my hometown in middle Asia, and my annual salary was around 3500 USD.
Glad that Clement has made it, but I understand that I (and many other people) just didn't win in the lottery of being born in the right place.
Gladly that I moved from there and have good compensation.
I think I chose the right major!
ОтветитьDid you apply to Facebook? Or did you get recruited?
ОтветитьLol when when Google was at $1439 a share
ОтветитьI love how transparent you are Clement!
ОтветитьAmazing informations...
ОтветитьCan I ask how much often Apple increases salary and equity?? Because I can't find any information about Apple in web.
ОтветитьVampire in the movie underworld 🤣🤣
ОтветитьI did smash like...can you plz tell me how to negotiate salary with a promising start up in CA???
Ответитьi like your shitty , card tricks
ОтветитьNever saw someone be this transparent with salary. Great video and very informative!!
ОтветитьThis is definitely helpful to consider pay transparency. I am in a similar boat as a mathematician / cs grad from Drexel working in software engineering. I started working there in Pennsylvania before moving west to San Francisco Bay Area, California. I am now interviewing at Google in NYC. Thanks for sharing your perspective, Clement.
ОтветитьMean while here I am fighting my boss over my annual raise of 52 cents an hr. 🤣
ОтветитьMan, I wish Europe respected Engineers and Tech as much as the states. Here, you'd be lucky to get £120000 as a Principle Engineer after a decade of experience. (outside of specific sub-industries, i.e. FinTech). We just don't care as much in the UK and Europe. Its kinda crappy. Don't get me wrong, £120000 is no small amount, and i'd kill to make that, but still, given a graduate in the US makes about £85000 kinda makes me sick.. hahah
ОтветитьNow u can afford to fix ur lisp
