TESTOSTERONE DOES NOT CAUSE AGGRESSION. DHT does. Robert Sapolsky has great work and lectures on this subject. Having more testosterone or taking certain supplements can increase dht.

Great interview, I've been purposefully losing weight ahead of time for that reason. The one thing I don't hear much about though is MtF people losing upwards of 2 inches in height after being on HRT. From what I understand it's another of those "your mileage may vary" things but I'm guessing it might have to do with weakening muscles or perhaps thinning cartilage. I admit to having some mixed feelings about that.

She Is very knowledgeable and despite her load of patients, has this way of making you feel like you are her ONLY patient. “The older you are the more you know yourself”. Humm, at 68 years old, fighting mild to moderate depression and anxiety all my life. I went to a counselor for it and she as mtf trans, older as well. Five months later, after twice+ monthly meetings, I was diagnosed with gender dysphoria. I was surprised, my girlfriend was shocked & skeptical. 25 months on Estradroil patches, voice feminization lessons, full time woman, all female clothing. Several/many things I’ve done are so empowering & I feel good. But why do I still have to work at it to some degree? Shouldn’t this all be natural if I was truly meant to be a woman?

This was excellent. I am 80 years old and just started Estradiol patches 5 days ago. So far I’m doing great. I have a great endocrinologist. I was particularly interested in the weight gain issue. I used to travel around the country putting on weight control seminars and have written 2 eBooks on weight management. This could be interesting challenge?? Thanks for a wonderful, helpful, and informative video!

I was curious about the units of measure for Testosterone and Estradiol that were discussed? Where I live we use SI units.

This video has been very helpful! I'm currently on HRT and I take the pill form of estradiol and after hearing Dr. Vierregger's information on shots versus pills and the estrone levels I'll ask my doctor about injections. She's open to switching so this is good to know! Thank you!

I was so jealous I as a young trans woman did not grow up with a informed consent model. I was 14 when I came out as trans and denied access to care because of my religious parents who were against my transition. Thank you Doctor V and Z for this!

Please, What is the relationship between the possibility, as well as fact of a more complete liberation of females from the strictures and rules that have governed and curtailed female behavior for most of recorded history, and the present apparent proliferation of, and incidence of transgender thought, analysis, diagnosis, behavior, and understanding ? Is it possible, survival of Human culture/species is (has become) wholly dependent upon recognition of need for complete female liberation/equality, and thought required for greater understanding, consideration of planetary and Human predicament (?). I had stayed away from this video because of its length. I’m glad I changed my mind because Dr. V raised my understanding on the subject of HRT and I feel confident in how I approach my doctor with my concerns. Thank you very much for this episode.

For the record, this video inspired me to finally switch from pills to injections after over nine years on HRT. I revisited it a few times and it took my research into important directions previously unknown to me. Thank you to both of you for this insightful interview. I already shared it with a few trans friends.

I keep hearing about pellets but have never seen price difference between that and others regardless of insurance coverage. It just seems it would be most effective as well as convenient.
