i think however this is the way kind of unfortunately most of the groups on facebook go: you need to laugh at their jokes (even if they are offensive), all negative comments and criticisms are banned and if you complain you are out. That's why i never join the groups as they start to be nice, then they become tyrannical.

Surely, in all this time someone has brought up the simple thought experiment of standing on back of a moving truck and jumping up - does he think the truck will drive away under him and he'll land on the ground outside the truck not moving sideways at all?

If he can understand inertia when standing on the back of a truck, why is he refusing to believe the same phenomenon for the same effect of us moving on the back of a moving planet?

Well, I beg to differ Creaky! While any setback to Flat Earth Community is no doubt welcome, and reason for celebration, fact checkers removing Flat Earth group from Facebook is highly worrisome and dangerous. Who are these "fact checkers" to decide single handedly what is or is not misinformation? And no, I am not a flerf, but the fact is, people believing in the globe would hardly venture into such group, so how is this misinformation? The sad point is, that these fact checkers can just as easily delete a group of people with varying other interests. This is communism in disguise, and we should all push back on this sort of censorship.

Considering that I spend some time on the JWST Facebook Group, can I expect the same level of respect from flat earthers to not spam every post in that group with flat earth propaganda? I know already that I can't.
