Drove the precious model for 4 years and now upgraded to the 2023 business plus TS. Have to say I'm more impressed than I expected to be. Packed with options and more comfortable engine/drive-system. Also the lane assist works much, much better dan my previous car. I expected a bit better car, but I'm surprised how much of a difference it makes (but the extra options compared to previous first edition help with this off course).
ОтветитьHi Thomas, what do you think about the interior noise at higher speeds, let's say 120-130km/h? Some reviewers say road/wind noise is quite high compared to competition (octavia, ceed sw,...)
ОтветитьYou said absolutely nothing about battery charging.
ОтветитьSo why can't they bring this shit in America? It's always other countries who have the best variants 🤬
ОтветитьIs that blue Hatchback in Executive packet? (Eu)
ОтветитьVery nice review, actually one of the best I've seen. This week i buy a 2019 2.0 l hatch model with many extra options. I can't affort the new model 😊
ОтветитьWould you buy the 1.8 or the 2.0 engine?
ОтветитьI have same 2023 model but has red and black seats. Red stitching on dash. Love ours.
ОтветитьHi Thomas. Your reviews are really detailed, especially when you talked about the ecvt uses a planetary gear set, not a belt and cone system.
ОтветитьI genuinely don’t get why when the larger engine is more fuel efficient, lower co2 , and faster why the 1.8 still exists ,
ОтветитьNo wagon version of this in the US, and the hatch is too short for my XC skis, so my only remaining option in the US is the sedan. Of course the sawn-off monster-truck version, the Corolla Cross, where one little lazily-positioned junction box in the rear prevents you from putting in a spare tire and the cargo area is still quite a bit shorter than the estate/station wagon. So annoying. And if the 2 liter hybrid wins on economy, why is the 1.8 hybrid still the only non-SUV Corolla hybrid option in the US, where if you want the 2 liter you have to get a Prius or a Corolla Cross hybrid?
ОтветитьThe people's car
ОтветитьThanks Thomas.
ОтветитьAnother fantastic review! Huge thanks to the Autogefühl team! I enjoy the details so much. (Door closing sound!!) This level of detail is important when assessing a new car. Thanks!
ОтветитьHow come we don't get the hybrid in the US ?
ОтветитьIs there a way to tell how much EV range you get after X min of driving? For example, my commute is 45 min. 30 min average 70km/h then rest is city driving. Can I somehow know that I will have enough EV charge for city? I don't really know how E-hybrid works compared to plugin hybrids.
Same with long distance driving. Say that im going on a 3h trip. Will it use EV, then only gas, then EV when it is charged and repeat like that or save EV just for lower speed?
I wish it had a full electric version.
ОтветитьPrefer the 16 inch tires and wheels over 18 for better ride, better MPG, lower cost to replace tires, better protection to suspension against potholes.
Ответитьbro why i always see this guy in random next video? happen all the time made me tired of this shit.even i block the page. did you contribute something special to the people up there or what
Ответитьomg, technical-wise you know close to nothing about the cars you're reviewing. The same as with the hybrid civic. There was never any CVT transmission in the Toyota's hybrids. And despite its name the eCVT has not much in common with a gearbox. It's a way of parallelisation the input from the electric motor and the internal combustion engine.
ОтветитьWhy didn't the US get this model?
ОтветитьE-CVT is where it's at. Completely different than the old rubbish CVT with belt and pully drives. It makes full use of the very efficient (39%) petrol and electric engines, very clever use of planetery gears for continuous gearing and regenerative power, and actually makes for simpler mecanical parts. It's not a new concept, but nice to see on a Corolla. Anyway, Corolla Estate 1.8L will be my new drive, if I can find one.
ОтветитьCVT is a huge no no.
ОтветитьMake a review of the GR Supra
ОтветитьLove the car 💙💙💙💙 unfortunately some of the states in the 🇺🇸 required front plates also 😖 like Virginia (my home state) . I agree 👍🏾vehicles look better without them 😊 another fantastic review.
ОтветитьHate the digital instruments and especially hate the tablet perched up in the middle. This is a big turn-off. Everything else is fine, and looks great from the outside too.
ОтветитьBring back the manual.
ОтветитьOrdered the exact same car as the hatchback in juniper blue. It will arrive on the 18th of april at the dealer. Excited.🤗
Ответитьtoo many uber drivers drive a corolla/camy sadly
Ответитьis there a review for the new saloon/sedan version?
ОтветитьMust be nice to get a Corolla Estate. Us here in the US have to make due with the Corolla Cross which, yes, it’s a good car. But the Corolla Estate to me is a far better vehicle.
ОтветитьOrdered a top of a line model. Can’t wait for it
Ответитьown the 2015 hybrid - got 3 tanks at 3.3l/100km until now, consumption w/o autobahn driving is at 4.25 l/100 km over 39.000 km.
i honestly love it, it's comfortable, reliable and economical. nothing compared to the BMW X3 e83 i had previously.
the better acceleration is everything this model needed, and the higher electric top speed. i'm really looking to buy the facelifted 2.0 hybrid now. the biggest turnoff are those low profile tires - stupid consumer trend.
The most beautiful hatch in the last 5 years maybe more , nice and practical interior , the exterior it's the best special with this dark Blue , good job Toyota
ОтветитьLooks like a Mercedes A class
ОтветитьI was really hoping the Corolla Cross would be a lifted wagon. To chase the Subaru Outback buyer here in the US and to offer a Toyota Wagon. But sadly nope.
It's also very very annoying how much harder automakers try in Europe for small cars than they do here in the US. I was just on the Toyota Website here and absolutely no way to add the rear vents or connectivity. Same goes with the Civic.
The hatchback is also significantly more expensive.
No wonder people move to crossovers when a impractical sedan trunk isn't going to cut it. The Corolla Cross comes standard with rear vents. Absolutely ridiculous.
Damn... Why can't USA get that estate wagon!? It's so nice and an actual wagon hatch as opposed to the smaller ugly Corolla wagon!
ОтветитьDanke for the great videos Thomas! What do you think of the sounds isolation of the 2023 Corolla? Did you experience more tire + windnoise compared to rivals?
ОтветитьAt last Toyota engineers have looked inside a Golf Mk7 and learnt how to make a proper fabric seat.
ОтветитьFor 36 thousand you can buy 2 kia rio, this car is overpriced and useless
ОтветитьI like that they dont have that plastic crap on the side of the tires anymore!
ОтветитьThis or the new Yaris? Is the Corolla worth the extra?
ОтветитьOn the last note, the more hp you use the better scenario for the 2L variant. Remember Top Gear M3 vs Prius fuel consumption show. It will only be if you really push past what is possible for the 1.8L but then there is no valid comparison to speak for.
ОтветитьI dont see why anyone would buy a Corolla/Yaris Cross over this honest sporty hatchback.
ОтветитьI love your accent!!
ОтветитьNice review, I love my touring sports hybrid for the comfy seating, fuel economy and great visibility for my short height. And the TSS being standard across the range makes even the entry level worthwhile too for effortlessly cruising!
ОтветитьJust wish there was a proper hot hatch version for the masses. Yes I know about the gr version but that's limited availability anyway and not at all in the UK.
ОтветитьI was recently in the US for work and yes, while the front grill without number plate looks good, it is a huge problem if you’re finding which car is your cab in a hurry esp at airports 😢 You basically have to peek over each and every car and you only know which one is yours after it has passed you 😅
