As far as I know. Most people agree that Sakura is annoying and useless.

It’s rlly intresting saying my hero academia is dragged out as comparitively speaking MHA adapts on average either 2-4 manga chapters per episode whereas combining both naruto & shippuden the average pacing ratio of naruto is 1.6. I think MHA is just more of a long run burn similarly to AOT w its narrative slow burns nature for explosive payoff later.

As a female, long time Naruto watcher since I was barely speaking 200 sentences per day. Sakura was one of the most annoying female characters in anime. Forget feminism, forget strong, hot headed, willed femme, I just don't find her fit to represent average teen girl in any dimension Naruto was avaible to stream. Her obsession for Sasuke in Naruto was quite frankly the most infuriating thing to happened in the anime aside from villagers shunning Naruto because he was a jinchuriki. And the fact she just stood there while Kakashi, Sasuke and Naruto fought Zabuza and Haku proved that Sakura just downward useless. Really, just move your ass girl, do something, you have plot armor, use it. And Kishi has said that Sakura was not meant to be a cute teen girl, she never meant to be that, but adding some spice of obsession towards Sasuke was just really, really made me rethink, was the only purpose of female character in shounen was to fall in love and procreate with the deuteragonist of the anime 🥹. Oh yeah, kunoichi that I think was really greatly written is the one and only, Konan (other than Tsunade). Kishi really knew what he did when he designed Konan.

Tip for starting one piece. Think of it as a big meal. Start with binging at least 20 eps. That was your appetizer to know who the straw hats are. After the first 20 you can get into the main course if what you tasted in your appetizer faze was good to you. Try to watch a episode or 2 a day and alot of one piece fans know it's not the treasure at the end of one piece that makes it worth watching but the journey and friends you made on the way. One piece is good. It's the last big Shonen I chose to dig into but I'm glad I did cuz being with the crew will eventually give you that buzzy childlike s3nse of being that not many anime have been able to replicate

Avatar Last Airbender and Naruto aired almost close to each others year releases Avatar: TLA at 2005 and Naruto at 2002. So i don't think avatar completely copied naruto's style.

Sakura for the first couple seasons was the absolute worst.

when i used to watch naruto back in the day, i also was not a fan of sakura, and agreed with the mockery she got from fans. however watching shippuen recently for the time, i gotta say she has gotten much better.

As a younger girl, I hated Sakura SO MUCH -- for being that unbearable female character that i loathed the most for having no screen time other than to fawn and froth at the mouth over any cute boy within sight when she's not defenselessly in trouble and screaming at them for help -- that she was the SOLE REASON I avoided the show, despite being an Elder Otaku OG, until my early thirties. Unable to restrain myself and needing to finally see what the hype is about, I gave it.

Hinata is still my spirit animal for being the real character representation for weakne-to-strong for the sake of her dignity and loved ones, and Sakura still deserves a backhanding for pure annoyance, I'm glad she's grown and become valuable role.

And Naruto himself has become one of my most beloved characters ever.
