The reality was, the guy was right. They are obligated to check the immigration status of all employees. That's federal law.

So the yellow shirt admits he came ILLEGALLY. So he should have been deported. I don't actually care that he was aged 3. That's his parents problem.

But John, being MIGRANTS didn't mean they were ILLEGAL. They came legally and then applied for permanent status and were approved. That's DIFFERENT. Stop conflating border jumpers with everyone else that does it the RIGHT WAY.

But the country has gone to HELL and the open southern border AND all the temp visas has caused this. As a sociologist I know that you cannot flood a country with so many millions of people with different cultural mores and expect things to balance out in the wash. DOES NOT WORK.

I happen to be a filipino scot, marine/immigrant mix. But turns out that makes you look hispanic lol. Never left US soil before 2000 yet I have been told to get out of this country or go back to mexico more than I can count. And that was before I turned 18. Still think it's important we know people's immigration status.

I’m glad this show is holding a mirror 🪞 up to the blatant racism in this country. You see what race is the common denominator in bigotry. But all races acknowledge it’s wrong. That’s the biggest takeaway.

We shouldn't judge on race but having a visa is required to work.

While the first guy is correct that we are a land of opportunity, but we are also a land of laws. There is a federal law that states when someone comes into this country, they are to file for citizenship, and go through the process to become legalized citizens.

I am 100% for allowing people, anyone who wishes to help boost our economy, but I am also for obeying laws.

Now me personally, if I was in a position of witnessing a business owner hiring someone who was/is here illegally, I kept my mouth shut. I kept my mouth shut because, although I disagreed with his hiring decision, it was HIS business, and if he chooses to encourage people to break the law, it was his Right to do so.

And no, this has NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING, to do with the color of skin. It has EVERYTHING to do with obeying laws. Because if one law is being acceptable, then may as well not have any laws at all. There is a purpose for that federal law: To protect the citizens of THIS country. To make sure that whomever wishes to live in this country, will contribute to society, instead of committing crimes, as what happened with Laken Riley.

I came to Dallas last year in October on a Green Card, people here are welcoming and pleasant.

Be kind is what I have learned, I know the country is facing immigrant issues but being kind will not hurt.

I've always felt bad for LEGAL Tejanos and Tejanas who are assumed to be illegals b/c it's not fair. You can be an illegal Brit or Indian et al but that's not the majority, why do you think EVERY time they do one of their performances on this topic it's ALWAYS Mexico or central America.

Something that I’ve always admired about this show is that the hostile actors are always very intentional with the way they engage the real people.

They insure to never spread their bigotry to that person even if they’re part of the same demographic being victimised, obviously out of desire to not hurt innocent bystanders of course, but also to gauge how people react when being included in the “in-crowd.” Will people fold when being excluded from the hate for someone else and assumed to be an ally? Luckily the answer is almost always no. In a world where people take any chance to see themselves above others and exercise privilege just because fate turned out in their favor, and pretend like they deserve that privilege just because, others won’t join bullies just because it makes them safe. It’s nice to see.

There is not such a thing as "American citizenship". what the ignorants in this show mean is U.S. citizens.

I always put on my resume that i am a US Citizen when I was in school looking for a full time job. My school's department on Engineering counselor advice me to do so. But i do have an accent lol Made it easier on getting avoid right away. Always got interviews right away.
