Hahah this video is recommended to me now and i am sorry but the whole story about the 30 days.. i have to laugh, this has to be a joke. When you said "You can not just add or delete days", sometimes i wish i could!! Glad it is solved. How weird is it to just receive 30 days. Unbelievable😂

Watching this a year after it was posted and see the company has changed the name of this planner to “The Karen,” which is an interesting marketing choice to say the least. I think that really says everything you need to know about this company.

Well done for not raging and keeping polite and clear. You are 100% correct it’s not ok. Once people realise it’s only 30 days no one will buy it so that will be wasteful. That’s such a nonsense argument as they would be printed as batches and could tally all of those extra pages into another rounded batch - ie no waste. In the UK this would be considered a breach of consumer protection regulations as can be solidly argued the product isn’t fit for its intended use.

Try Canva!!! Where did you get the binding done at? You didn't do any dividers or anything like that to divide the months? Or no monthly bill tracker or any trackers???

I found this because I looked up reviews for LPA planners. While your opinion is valid, I just had some thoughts on things we should all consider. First, from what I learned about her planners specifically is the ones with names, like the Shelby, have been designed by the namesake...so this was Shelby's ideal planner and could be someone else's ideal planner. Also, not all months have 31 day, not all months have 30 days, it does cause wasted paper and ink if you are not using it every single day. This is why in a lot of the major companies have say the last few days of June in July. There is never going to be the perfect planner for everyone, especially when they are undated planners. I don't know, I think that is something that hopefully you considered over the year since this whole thing.

Since this is a undated planner that’s why there wasn’t 31 days for each month. Now if this was dated planner I could see your point, but not with it being updated. I think it’s sad that you think LPA would try to scam someone because that clearly was not the case. The planner for daily pages including months and notes pages can only be so large. I would think you would understand that with your printing background.

Totally unbiased here. My planner style is very different from LPA, I’ve never shopped there and I don’t know the owner.

My humble opinion… I see both sides. If this were a dated planner I would 100% agree with you, that would be ridiculous. But since it’s undated, I get what she was going for by having all months include the same number of pages. She could have picked 31 instead for sure, and maybe that would be better, that’s why I do see both sides! But personally… the point of an undated planner is so I have freedom. I am an undated lover because of my planner style! I cannot use a daily every single day of my life so therefore I skip around. I use them when I’m most busy or have something scheduled. I would never use all of those dailies in one month, I know some people would, but I think those people would be better suited for a DATED style if they truly need every single day/page. Undated is for freedom - to not use the planner daily and not have to deal with wasted blank pages! That’s the biggest reason I go undated over dated - I hate wasting a page. In my planner one daily page is June 10th and the very next page will be June 15th for example.

I also sometimes start a planner randomly (so not in Jan). If I bought this planner and it had the proper number of days for each month and I started it in April for example, I’d be all messed up (if I used one daily every single day, that is).

I hope I am making sense! Full respect to your take, just adding mine too. For an undated planner I understand why she chose to just stick with 30 pages of dailies for every month, because most people gravitate towards undated when they plan like I do.. aka need the freedom to skip days and don’t like wasting pages like you would in a dated planner. For someone like you who needs one page per day, I feel like a dated daily would be more suitable (and would save you time in having to date the page since you know you’re going to use one every single day of the year!)

You were unsatisfied with a product and deserved a refund so I’m glad you got it! As a self professed undated aficionado, I don’t personally find a lack of page count description misleading. This design is something I would expect in an undated planner having purchased MANY throughout the years. However, not everyone thinks like me, so I think saying that in the description is the safest bet so everyone knows exactly what they are purchasing before they do so. When in doubt, always add as much detail to product descriptions as possible!!

The description literally says 30 undated pages after Each month and dot grid pages in between. You must be new to the planner world. Planners don’t always match pages to the month. Example an entire week of EC can be in the following month. So here’s the math 30 x 12 = 360. So 5 days not previously designed. But you can lay out the other 5 days of the year on the dot grid pages. This appears to be a giant toddler meltdown on your part. You were refunded fully and still decided to do this video. Guess what many people are going to buy it now just to spite you.

As a customer I would like to decide if I want to take a day of planning or not but the option to be able to plan 31 days should be there.

So you made your own but you don't have a monthly calendar at the start of each month? Would that be too hard for them to print? With actual dates, days of the week? Maybe a tab so you can find it quick? Or you could get a Dollar tree small calendar and paste one in on the backside of the last page of each month for the following month

I just don't get her argument. The planner was incorrect. Period. Like you said, the calendar isn't up for artistic interpretation; it's either correct or incorrect.

I found Agendio customizable planner and LOVE it. It’s pricey like this one you’re featuring, but it is 100% custom and you preview before you order. Nothing but happy with it.

Back in the ‘80’s we school PTA moms would make planners like this for each teacher as thank you gifts! The cinch machines were electric and a dream to work with.

I also had a hard time to find a planner that meet my needs. I tried to make my own and I could not turn it into something decent. The photocopying was all off. I tried to copy it myself. I gave up until I found a planner that meet my needs. The problem with the planner that meet my needs is that it is in USA and I am in Canada. It cost me a fortune in shipping and exchange rate on the Canadian dollar. I purchased it 2 year in a row and still LOVE it. I no longer want to pay $150 Canadian dollars for a planner. This year I have a cinch machine and a printer, that I didn't have before. You gave me the confidence to try again.

I have been in retail for 20 years. You are not a bully if you ask for a refund for something so egregious. I felt similarly about savings trackers. I just couldn't find one that spoke to me. So I created some of my own 😊

Nice work! A huge achievement. I know the work involved because I've been making my own planners for years now using Print Shop Publisher Pro. It's not the best software but VERY easy to use. Once you have your template and EXACTLY centered on your page, I run the pages through printer for the other side. I make A5 size. Sometimes I bind myself and sometimes I use a 3 ring binder. I never make them with printed dates.
Over the years I've customized for my life at the time. I'm on meds now and so I added a space for checking off those along with exercise and water intake. Special space for the three most essential tasks of the day is key for me. I target those tasks and (if possible) get them checked off asap. I made a dashboard insert that works as a book mark too. I cut it out from a Dollar tree cutting mat and use same material for over front and back covers when I spiral bind. A zippered pouch insert holds my pens and sticky notes.
Everyone's needs are different and changes in our lives happen. However, last time I checked, we all have the same amount of days in a year. 😁

Hi. I made my own planner during college and got so many compliments on it. I couldn’t read through all the comments so not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but you could scan your design into a PDF and take that to the print shop where they would print it front and back for you. Have the same design on 2 pages to make sure it would line up properly.

You could also create text boxes in Word or Publisher to get the same look and can save it in your computer to print at any time.

My own planner needs were to have the day broken down into 15 min increments so I used Excel for that and merged cells together to make the boxes. For example, column A had the time and I widened column B to be the width I wanted the line to be. Then I just formatted it to add the line. I duplicated these columns to make it 3 times on a page and on the “opposite “ page of the planner I had 2 of these formatted columns along with 2 text boxes for Sat & Sun. This way I could see the entire week across both pages when the book was open. Then I added areas for month at a glance, doodles, trackers (again, just formatting the cells to make little boxes), and added some inspirational quotes spread throughout. This wouldn’t be ideal for the size of planner you enjoy but I wanted to share my experience with using Microsoft programs to help me with my planner.

I think it’s great you stood up for yourself. More people should do that, then the scammers can’t get away with as much. I hope you have fun with making more planners in the future!

I saw your video and heard the name of the planner, and since I am a Shelby I was totally invested! I went to the website and researched. Since you posted your video, it still doesn't say only 30 days of daily pages. I will say though.......I watched her video walk-thru and there she says 30 daily pages. Because of your video, I for sure do not want to buy something from her shop. Maybe I will make my own Shelby ...... it won't be missing pages either. Glad they finally made good after their laxidaisical attitude on the planner.

Kool video. I am a plannerholic. I have kept a planner each year since high school, 1983. Long time, I know. I want to make my own but don't have the patience. While you and I have totally different idea, I'm proud you have taken the time to construct what you want n need. You go girl. Excellent!!! Now to my understanding you can go to canva and play around with this planner. Again, great job, you inspired me to make this another 2023 project. I do stickers too!~!! Omg, I ordered one from Amazon this year. An appointment book, but I need n want so much more. It took me 9 hours yesterday to write all my bday, anniv., and events, ect w/sickers to get that baby set up n running. I choose a hard back so less damage with my roughness. Too Kool, Be Brave!!

Hi, I just watched your video and number of pages that you used. It would’ve been 170 pages but in actual fact it was 169 with two of the B-6 size and the extra one which is one page on it. that’s how I get 170 pages for the cost of your books all up for both books you are looking at $27. I’m assuming US dollar only reason I say that is because I actually live in Australia so and I love doing mathematics
