Based on the video, I don’t believe it was premeditated. I think it was a crime of passion, because he probably told her he wanted to break up with her, so she reacted by driving into a wall. So I do not believe it qualifies as first degree murder, it should have been reckless endangerment and vehicular homicide. But the entire ordeal is so sad and should not have happened. Two young men lost their lives at such a young age, imagine the pain the families must feel. 🙏🏼

Unpopular opinion, I am 23 minutes in and I have yet to see any hard evidence that could prove beyond reasonable doubt that Mekenzie intended on killing her boyfriend and friend that night. Even if mechanics forensics report reflected that she was going 100 mph four seconds before the crash, that still does not prove intent. All these people they are interviewing who are assassinating her character, that is not really relevant when it comes down to proving intent to harm someone beyond a reasonable doubt. just because someone doesn't have the best moral compass and has made some bad decisions, doesn't mean they are a murderer. Just another way to look at this. Things are not always black-and-white. This is a small town so makes sense why they would want someone to answer for such reckless actions that resulted in catastrophic tragedy for 2 families. It is hard to say whether or not she is innocent. Like I said only 23 minutes into the video so I'm interested to see how this turns out.

I live in Cleveland but familiar with the area this happened in. What they didn’t add in the video was she drove on the same street a week prior while speeding. They believed it was premeditated because she was testing to see the if the crash would occur there or somewhere else
