Ответить.....finish a lot more and a lot faster if you would just use the swiss army knife with the super screwdriver addition + crew....erm...I mean Blender with a lot of good addons, giving you everything you need ...ever! At a fraction of ZBrush + Maya. I can do Motion capture there now (in Blender) 'cause of the (Blender market) ;) Professional hint.

ОтветитьZbrush is " THE SCULPTING TOOL " like substance is " THE TEXTURING TOOL " both work faster than anything on the market, Blender is the " ONE SIZE FIT ALL " and " ANYTHING is Possible " with the two other software it's a time saver, if the goal is to add impossible detail Zbrush is the tool you need for very high polycount work, Substance is a finisher is more dedicated to the texturing and surfacing process, in the other hand you can almost build any model with blender, rig it for animation and render it, the UV unwrap and UDIM system on it also work super fine.

Ответитьi hate blender with a passion. and you should compare other softwares to blender besides maya which is too expensive. im not a professional 3d designer. i need it for a game i'm developing. no frikin way i'm going to do it with blender. that software is terrible.
ОтветитьLike to point out that everything attributed to Z-Brush is now possible as of Blender 3.6, with the additions of VDM (Vector Displacement Map) brushes. So now you can have "wing Brushes" that work in the same way as in this video. But it's even better, because in Blender you have much greater control over the topology.

ОтветитьI'd like one of these for Blender vs Maya/3DS/Cin3D/Rhino since those seem to be the industry standard for 3D Modeling and retopology. Blender I know cannot handle over 4mil polys. Zbrush can handles more because of their tech, I forgot the name of it. Maya can handles a lot of polys but it will run slow and it has a decent retopology tool. I do think modeling in Blender is faster though, id stay it's a better replacement for 3DS Max in the modeling space because of the modifiers.

Ответитьblender is trash. blender is free because it sucks so much. yes, you can do everything in blender. however, the bullshit you have to go through with blender you dont need to go through with other softweres. blender just making your life way harder. if you have the money you can cut your work time so much if you buy for paid softwares. blender is only if you want to work in graphic design . if you want to actually make your own game then zbrush is much better

Blender’s flat-out inferior, not an alternative. I’m kinda mad that I wasted all this time cos I promised people some good results a while ago but I went straight for hyper realism cos that’s what I was aiming for in drawing at the time. All I did was I work myself into a corner for daring to use traditional and obvious methods.
If I can import my blender model and see the same things done easily then I’ll see a direct comparison while saving my model.
If this works like I expect then such a massive weight will be lifted off my shoulders.
Will legit change my life if I can finally get around the roadblocks of 3d sculpting and move forwards towards good portfolio.
So mad that they got me jumping through hoops just to transfer skills I already had
You avoided talking about Zmodeler is it worth the pain of learning it when I have Blender and working Blender <-> Zbrush Bridge?

Ответитьas an automotive technician and game design enthusiast the comparisons is rather accurate, when you're doing it as a hobby to start you really don't have the luxury of time. so learning the standard is what I wanted to know. and this really narrowed down what and where I want/needed to focus my time on character model creation. much appreciated!

ОтветитьZBrush will be always the best sculpting standard for every purpose. You can do some quite good sculpting stuff in Blender, but for me as ZBrush user for many years there is no reason to use Blender for sculpting. Sure Blender is very good in comparison with Maya for example. Nice video

ОтветитьZbrush is the better option if you are a creative person who needs to go deep into the world of creature and character modeling. I love Blender, and I'm learning how to sculpt with it now, so I will see and creative video content on my Blender progress! Subscribe if you're interesting in learning how to sculpt in both, got a lot of characters and content in the works as I build my channel this year.
