I definitely recommend the band In This Moment and specifically the songs "Beautiful Tragedy" and "Into The Light." There is also a band called Within Temptation. I would recommend either the song "Memories" or "All I Need" because it shows how amazing her voice really is!

I have a Female Friday for you. I would check out Liliac, they are a sibling band ranging in age from 16 to 24. Melody is the lead singer and has an amazing voice. They mostly started doing covers, but they have their own music now. I would start with Carousel then Madness and then Heaven and Hell, which is a Black Sabbath cover.

A band you need to check out that is in a similar vein (but epic in their own way) is Within Temptation. Start with their song "Angels". You will be blown away!

The earlier Evanescence videos make me think of rock & roll fairy tales. They are stunningly beautiful in visuals and music.
