I was playing kill the three commanders on 3 different bases, killed 2 and after 45 mins hit restart instead of checkpoint and the mission started from start, great mission

You know it’s gonna be a long ass game when you complete 10 missions and you are only 4% done

Pro tip. When trying to capture an old mother base soldier. Wear the damn box. The soldier will walk up to you and salute you giving you opportunity to smack them upside the head. Saving you hours of annoying chasing

Guys. I am stuck in northern kabul. I think I have completed all main missions. I dont like to do side missions. Game is not progressing. What should i do ?

my game thinks i play on some weird controller not even at least xbox or ps but some weird ass controller and i play on keyboard. anyone know how to change it so i get instructions for keyboard instead of a contoller

26: Dont kill quiet, she is the best buddy in game. She has a tranquilizer and a bullet sniper. She is excellent for stealth, but I do not know how to put a suppressor on her gun.

27:Get S rank on every mission To do so, you need to get no reflex modes, and you need to do it quick. S on all 50 missions will result in a special character that is faster than Snake. His name is Raiden. He is from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.


28. Upgrade your stun arm to the max. You can hold it long enough to lightning strike everyone in a 45m range. (Hits more than 1 person, overpowered for enemy outposts.)


29. Try to switch play tactics every 2 missions. If you go for headshots, enemies will wear armor on their heads. If you play at night, they will equip flashlights.


And finally, 30. Do not kill enemies. They will not give S ranks and will increase your demon points (Snake’s horn). I’m 50% sure it slowly decreases your bond with another Base. (Ocelot, Kaz, Quiet, D dog, D horse, D walker, Emmerich, and your Soldiers.

31…. Fultoning high level enemy soldiers will make them your soldiers, making your mother base stronger.


32. Have fun!

6 years later I'm watching this. Bought the game a year ago and just started playing Friday night. I'm freaking hooked and amazed how well MGS has done over so many years.

I love how in this game you get a horse as your buddy and in Red Dead Redemption 2 my horse's name is Buddy LOL

And I still don't know how to roll when proned or crouching..

I just don't get this game. I've played a lot of action stealth action games, and am usually pretty good or at least decent... But after quite a few hours I still find it confusing and difficult. Murdering everyone with guerrilla hit and run tactics seems to be the only reliable way. Sometimes I succeed at stealth... Others I get easily spotted at distance in the dark behind cover while crouched. (Apparently there are certain things that I can't see through, but guards can? Definitely had a large container directly between me and enemy while being discovered. Again, it was nighttime. I was crouched.) WTF? Is using the stupid cardboard box mandatory or what?

Here's something i learned , i know it might be too late now but for those still playing -
If you injured a soldier or two and you want to extract them because Fulton doesn't work on injured soldiers , just use D-Horse for carrying one of the Solidiers and carry the other yourself.
Now call in for a heli- pick up and whistle D-Horse to follow you , and keep running towards the LZ and there you go , now you can extract both of them. Get away from the chopper to extract them or just hop in if you want to go to the motherbase with them.

Am having a hard time trying to interrogate dead soldiers in this game.
