The greatness of Islam is clear to perceptive minds: Mr. Ramsey Clark, the U.S. Attorney General in the Lyndon Johnson administration, stated that Islam:
“Is probably the most compelling spiritual and moral force on earth today.”
George Bernard Shaw stated in the book ‘the genuine Islam,’ vol 1, No 8, 1936:
“I have always held the religion of Muhammad [peace be upon him] in high estimation because of its wonderful vitality. It is the only religion that appears to me to possess that assimilating capacity to the changing phase of existence, which can make itself apply to every age. If any religion had the chance of ruling England, nay Europe within the next hundred years, it could be Islam.”
Edward Montet, a French intellectual, has the following to say about the al- Qur’an- the holy book of Islam:
“… Qur’an has invariably kept its place as the fundamental starting point… A creed so precise… so accessible to the ordinary understanding might be expected to possess and does indeed possess a marvelous power of winning its way into the conscience of men.”
Similarly, the Rev. J.M. Rodwell made the following statement in the preface of the The Koran, translated from Arabic:
“It must be acknowledged, too, that the Koran deserves the highest praise for its conceptions of the Divine nature in reference to the attributes of power, knowledge and universal providence and unity- that is belief and trust in the one Allah of heaven and earth is deep and fervent- and that… it embodies much of the noble and deep moral earnestness, and sententious oracular wisdom, and has proved that there are elements in it on which mighty nations and conquering… empires can be built up.”
Mahatma Gandhi stated:
“I wanted to know the best of one who holds today undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind…. I became more and more convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for pledges….”
The famous Indian poetess stated in [S. Naidu. Ideals of Islam. Madras, 1918]:
“It was the first religion that preached and practiced democracy; for, in the mosque, when the call for prayer is sounded and worshippers are gathered together, the democracy of Islam is embodied five times a day when the peasant and the king kneel side by side and proclaim: [God alone is great]”
Islam’s coordination in running the affairs of mankind is superior to all other systems. Its potential to establish a global control is clear to all discerning minds. Napoleon Bonaparte, the greatest military leader in modern times, understood the potential of Islam; he is quoted in Christian Cherfils Bonaparte et Islam [Paris 1914] as saying:
“I hope the time is not far off when I shall be able to unite all the wise and educated men of all countries and establish a uniform regime based on the principles of the Qur’an which alone are true and which alone can lead men to true happiness.”
The Shari’ah is the instrument of global transformation, its moral emphasis teaches tolerance and brotherhood of mankind and it rendered Islam into a universal religion that precludes being Arab, African, American, British or Oriental, but facilitates a global union of mankind and a body of Muslims that seeks the approval of Almighty Allah to the exclusion of all else. A Nigerian Scholar, the late Sheikh Abubakar Mahmoud Gumi summarized with deep insight the position of the Shari’ah to Muslims and the Islamic state. He is quoted from the book WHERE I STAND with Ismaila A. Tsiga as saying:
“..the key to the success of colonization everywhere has always been the amount of destruction it could carry out on the way of life of the indigenous people. In this regard, the case of the Islamic Law is unique. In every human society, man has always depended on the law to guarantee him the chance to realize himself and discharge his duties to that society responsibly. This includes the chance for him to live according to his consciousness as the basis for the overall function of the society. The law is an indispensable bedrock upon which human communities are built, together with all their social characteristics. Few factors therefore could condition the culture of any community so much like the cohesion of its institution of justice.Similarly one of the easiest ways to destroy any society is to attack its judicial system, particularly the laws which regulate social behavior amongst its members. This is even more so for Muslims because there are laws in the religion concerning every aspect of the believer’s life. Islam makes no distinction between religion and social life. Even in the most private action, the Muslim is guided by established rules in the religion, which makes him at the same time to be responsible to God for that particular action. Religion, in this case, includes everything that one does, and it is not confined to how one says ones prayers. …it is of great importance to Muslims that Sharia has come from God and is, therefore, not a product of selfish human interest… It is a balanced and neutral code by which God wants us to live. To submit to its dictate is to obey God’s order, hence it is the most important pillar of worship. Certainly the Sharia cannot be compared with any other law made by man, either in scope or orientation
…the Sharia operates on principles of recognition for the supremacy of God and belief in life after death, when all men shall be brought before God to answer for their actions in this world. For me this is a significant issue specifically in relation to the English Law which lacks any creditable spiritual values. In more than one respect the English Law betrays its European origins, including those pre-Christian pagan influences which characterize it, and which are particularly odd in our cultural setting.

Walking 🕎
Happy Chanukah to you and your family,
Hopefully your message will be something the world can agree with.
I do have one comment, this is directed to your statement about the current Syrian situation and the “Syrian” situation in 164 BCE. In my opinion, the parallel is not with Syria, it is with Iran/Persia.
In the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire, was against the Seleucid king Antiochus IV Epiphanes, who was the great, great, great, grandson of Seleucus a Macedonian Greek & Apama a Persian.
• Antiochus IV ruled Syria, but was not a Syrian. Antiochus IV was Macedonian Greek, Turk & Persian.
• Antiochus IV's Grandfather^4 was Seleucus a Macedonian Greek, who became one of Alexander the Great’s best commanders and evidently took over as the ruler of all the land Alexander the Great captured.
• Antiochus IV's Grandmother^4 was Apama was the daughter of Spitamenes, the last powerful Persian king after the death of King Darius III.
Bashar al-Assad family tribe, Kalbiyya, are Shia Syrians, who’s political involvement dates back to early Ottoman Empire, but who’s current/past power came from Iran/Presia.
• Shia Islam = Iran = Persians
Peace, Scott
Thank you Rabbi Simon, Such a powerful message. Shine our light bring all goodness to a greater light. Have a blessed Chanukah. Lots of love.💗

THE TRUTH OF WHAT HAPPENING :
The People's Revolution: Syria’s Struggle for Freedom
Syria, the cradle of ancient civilizations and a crossroads of religions, has always been a land of diversity and resilience. Its history tells the story of a united people bound by a shared heritage yet burdened by external invasions and internal struggles. In 2011, Syria reached a defining moment that reshaped its narrative—a revolution against decades of authoritarian rule under the Assad regime.
The Legacy of Tyranny
The Assad family rose to power in 1970 when Hafez al-Assad seized control in a military coup. For over three decades, Hafez ruled Syria with an iron fist, establishing a regime built on fear, surveillance, and brutal repression. His son, Bashar al-Assad, took power in 2000, raising hopes for reform. However, those hopes quickly faded as Bashar continued the oppressive policies that had suffocated the Syrian people for decades.
The regime’s methods became infamous for their cruelty: torture chambers, enforced disappearances, and a judiciary serving only the regime’s interests. Facilities like Sednaya Prison became synonymous with brutality, where thousands were tortured or executed without trial. The regime also engaged in organ trafficking, the systematic rape of detainees, and countless crimes against humanity. Under this shadow, Syrians lived in silence, too fearful to demand their most basic rights.
The Spark of Revolution
In March 2011, inspired by the Arab Spring, peaceful protests began in the southern city of Daraa. Citizens demanded political reforms, freedom, and an end to corruption. The regime responded swiftly and brutally, unleashing bullets, arrests, and torture on the protesters. The uprising quickly spread across the country, fueled by decades of pent-up anger against the regime.
Syrians from all religious and ethnic backgrounds united in their demand for freedom. Christians, Muslims, Druze, Alawites, and others stood together, emphasizing that their struggle was not sectarian but humanitarian. They chanted, "We are one people," rejecting the regime’s narrative that the revolution was a terrorist conspiracy.
The War and Weapons of Lies
The regime framed the revolution as a war on terrorism, exploiting global fears of extremism to justify its actions. It bombed residential neighborhoods with barrel bombs, killing thousands indiscriminately. Reports of mass graves and atrocities, such as those in Sednaya Prison, shocked the world. Yet, the international community hesitated, paralyzed by conflicting interests.
Bashar al-Assad also turned to the Captagon trade, flooding the region with illicit drugs to finance his war. As cities burned and millions were displaced, the regime profited, transforming Syria into a hub for drug trafficking.
The Voice of the People
Syrians have repeatedly stated that their revolution is not a civil war but a struggle against a regime that betrayed its people. "We have no quarrel with the world," said a resident of Damascus. "Our only fight is with Bashar al-Assad, who turned against his nation." Syrians, who once lived harmoniously across sects and religions, rejected the regime’s propaganda portraying them as divided.
"We want life, not death. Freedom, not chains," said a Christian activist from Damascus. "For 55 years, this family has ruled us through terror. But we, the Syrian people, have chosen our destiny. This is our revolution."
A Sinister Agenda
Syria’s strategic location and history as a cradle of prophets and peace have made it a target of competing global interests. Many Syrians believe there is a deliberate effort to distort their image and label them as terrorists to justify repression and global indifference. While the international community welcomed millions of Syrian refugees, it failed to address the root cause of their suffering: the Assad regime.
"This is not just about us," argued a displaced Syrian academic. "It’s about humanity. Our struggle is like George Floyd’s case or any fight against oppression. If the world continues to remain silent, it becomes complicit in the crimes of this dictator."
Hope Amid the Ruins
Despite the immense suffering, Syrians have not given up. A transitional government formed by opposition forces represents a glimmer of hope. It promises accountability for the regime’s crimes and a future built on peace and coexistence. Syrians urge the world to visit their country, speak to its people, and witness their resilience firsthand.
"To those who doubt us, meet the families who have lost everything," said a merchant from Aleppo. "Speak to the teachers, artists, and traders. They will tell you this revolution is ours—it is not something imposed on us."
A Call to Action
Please support our revolution because we want to live our lives. It is hard to see the world watching in silence. We are not terrorists; we are the 25 million Syrians scattered across the globe as doctors, engineers, and professionals. We come from 14 cultures and religions, living together on this land for over 1,000 years.
The Syrian people call on the world to investigate the crimes of Bashar al-Assad’s regime, from mass graves to torture and abuse in his prisons. They demand accountability for chemical weapon use, the destruction of homes, and the displacement of millions. Syrians seek justice, not vengeance, and peace, not endless war.
As a group of Christians , Muslims , Jews , Kurds , Assyrian , DRUZ from Damascus said, "We are the nation of jasmine, the land of coexistence. This is not just a Syrian struggle; it is a fight for the soul of humanity. Stand with us."
Bashar al-Assad was trying to exterminate entire generations of the indigenous population, and he is not Syrian and does not belong to the country. He used the Assad regime, which consists of many extremist security institutions and cells, and once again documents have been discovered proving that the Assad regime is the one who caused the bombings and crises that he created under the pretext of terrorist groups in order to prove to the world that he is innocent and that his entire people are terrorists. The Syrian people have lived injustice, tyranny, torture and rape, and we have documents proving that he had a large network on black sites and was filming torture in prisons or rape, using official documents found in a sensitive security center. There are thousands and thousands of documents that prove the entire network of crimes, sabotage and terrorism of the regime of Bashar al-Assad, the vile fugitive president who is considered the dirtiest person in history and who made the whole world think that the Syrian people are armed gangs and mercenaries. Come and look at the truth and go and talk to the Syrians, because we love life, openness and human communication, and our country is made up of many sects, religions and beliefs, and the homeland connects us for more than thousands. For years, we have all been victims of this brutal regime that killed more than a million people, tortured and raped millions, and displaced and displaced millions. I hope for support because we are going through a phase of ridiculous media deception.
I personally had many Jews in my neighborhood in Damascus city where I have a family tree for 300 years in this land we were living in so much peace and we shared everything with each other and they could pray and do whatever they wanted as Christians as well, Bashar al Assad made this conflict between us to destroy the history and to destroy the culture, that has been written by history, Al Assad wanted to bring Iran and bad people and evils to our lands brother and trust me the people who rule today are peaceful and respect the history, don't listen to fake media, we can always share the bread, we are together against Iran and all their evil hands. i hope the world understands that in Damascus people are looking for peace and love and respect for all religions, they just show you that Islamic people are all the same and dangerous heh, Jews have been living with us for so long, now we need your support and stick with us to rise up the new era of peace

Happy Chanukah, Rabbi Jacobson. I live and work in Westchester County and am a practicing lawyer. Would love to speak with you at some time about how to use my skills to spread light, especially in fighting demonization of Israel.
Dear rabbi not to forget that most tyrant in recent times been sponsored by Israeli government
The Rabbis of the Jewish nation having an elitist’s knowledge of our Universal Creator has colluded with the Western pagan Establishment and they have charted global affairs for centuries as the evil one's, and in the 21st century they have guided or more aptly misguided humans to the point of complete destruction in their unquenchable greed for power and human domination. According to Master Satanist/ Freemason Albert Pike in a letter said to have been written to an illuminati operative, Giuseppe Mazzini, in 1871 and contained within the book Satan: Prince of This World.
“The third world war must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the ‘agentu’ of the ‘illuminati’ between the political Zionists and the leaders of the Islamic world. The war must be conducted in such a way that Islam [Muslim Arabic world] and political Zionism [the state of Israel] mutually destroy each other. Meanwhile, the other nations, once more divided on this issue, will be constrained to fight to the point of complete physical, moral, spiritual and economical exhaustion… We shall unleash the Nihilist and the atheist and we shall provoke a formidable social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effect of absolute atheism, origin of savagery and of the most bloody turmoil.
Then everywhere, the citizens obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in the public view.”
On the other hand, the overriding fact within the Qur’an provides the straightforward summary to an enlightened analysis:
“And recall when We made a covenant with the children of Israel: “You shall serve none but Allah and do good to parents, kinsmen, orphans and the needy; you shall speak kindly to people and establish prayer and give Zakah [purifying alms]. And yet except for a few of you, you turned back on this covenant, and you are still backsliders. And recall when We made a covenant with you, that you shall not shed one another’s blood, and shall not turn out one another from your homelands; you confirmed it, and you yourselves were witnesses to it. And here you are killing one another, turning out a party of your own from their homelands, aiding one another against them in sin and enmity, and if they come to you as captives you ransom them although the very act of expelling them was unlawful to you. Do you believe in some part of the scripture and reject the rest? …” [Al-Qur’an. 2: 83 -85]
The Canadian writer Greg Felton also reveals a contemporary situation that re-echoes Jewish past history. He says:
“..The most notorious case of Zionist’s collusion concerned Dr. Rudolf Kastner, Chairman of the Zionists Organization in [khazar] Hungary from 1943-45. To secure the safe passage 600 Zionists to Palestine, he helped the Nazis send 800,000 Hungarian Jews to their death. The Israeli Supreme Court virtually whitewashed Kastner’s crimes because to admit them would have denied Israel the moral right to exist.”
Alqur" an was revealed to illuminate all the shadowy aspects by which people are misled, and it is the singular Truth by which all complexities are undone. It reveals the following:
Al-Baqarah 2:122
O Children of Israel, remember My favour which I have bestowed upon you and that I preferred you over the worlds.
Al-Baqarah 2:89
And when there came to them a Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] from Allāh confirming that which was with them - although before they used to pray for victory against those who disbelieved - but [then] when there came to them that which they recognized, they disbelieved in it; so the curse of Allāh will be upon the disbelievers.
Al-Baqarah 2:90
How wretched is that for which they sold themselves - that they would disbelieve in what Allāh has revealed through [their] outrage that Allāh would send down His favour upon whom He wills from among His servants. So they returned having [earned] wrath upon wrath. And for the disbelievers is a humiliating punishment.
Al-Baqarah 2:91
And when it is said to them, "Believe in what Allāh has revealed," they say, "We believe [only] in what was revealed to us." And they disbelieve in what came after it, while it is the truth confirming that which is with them. Say, "Then why did you kill the prophets of Allāh before, if you are [indeed] believers?"
Al-Baqarah 2:92
And Moses had certainly brought you clear proofs. Then you took the calf [in worship] after that, while you were wrongdoers.
Al-Baqarah 2:93
And [recall] when We took your covenant and raised over you the mount, [saying], "Take what We have given you with determination and listen." They said [instead], "We hear and disobey." And their hearts absorbed [the worship of] the calf because of their disbelief. Say, "How wretched is that which your faith enjoins upon you, if you should be believers."
Hasbi'Allah wa ni'imal wakeel.
26.Hudud and inner violence In respect to the essence of Islam which they seek to destroy, it is revealed in the Alqur'an:
"There is no compulsion in religion. The Right Way stands clearly distinguished from the wrong. Hence he who rejects the evil ones [taaghoot] and believes in Allah has indeed taken hold of the firm, unbreakable handle. And Allah whom he has held for support is All-Hearing All- Knowing. Allah is the guardian of those who believe, He brings them out of every darkness into light. And those who disbelieve their guardians are the evil ones [taaghoot], they bring them out of light into all kinds of darkness. These are destined for the fire and their shall they abide” [Al-Qur’an. 2: 256-257]
Hasbi'Allah wa ni'imal wakeel.
You ignoring the facts and then calling people who are addressing those facts are ignorant
Yea you are right about Shia killing Syrians at high number makes them more evil than Jews
But that doesn’t make justify the crimes of the Jews
