Remember there was not way to include them all in this video. Post up what else you think you need for VW and Audi repair!
ОтветитьAs a new Dealership Audi Tech this was so helpful
Ответитьwow never saw the wheel holder. ps strut spreader tool!!!
ОтветитьI borrowed a friend's garage to work on my Toyota and said I will change the oil for her VW. I figure a set of sockets was plenty. Nope …
Ответить#1 money
ОтветитьUse a plumbers crimp tool it will work perfectly for those clamps
ОтветитьBeats me why they would not standardise on one of triple square or torx drive. And why use odd sizes like 7mm hex for brakes when 8 mm is common? Seems like a way of simply making it less attractive for DIY.
ОтветитьOne VERY necessary tool that’s used at vw/Audi dealerships is a knuckle spreader. You put it in a 1/2 inch ratchet and it basically spreads the knuckle so you don’t need to use a pry bar and hammer to spread the knuckle
Ответитьthe small knipex hose clamp pliers 💯
ОтветитьWhat’s the size for the inverted torque socket?
ОтветитьYes on VCDS and on low-profile torx -- I splurged on the Schwaben set.
ОтветитьI had to educate my local Autozone sales clerk on what a triple square is. :)
ОтветитьYou forgot Your best tool of all... A grenade, for when everything has been replaced and it still has a check engine light.... trust me.
Ответитьif you need all these SPECIAL TOOLS then the car is an over complicated piece of junk
ОтветитьYou forgot to mention some tools - one is a huge appreciation for dumbgineering - even if it doesn't come naturally - plus everyone who works on them needs a big bucket of indefatigable patience - Home Depot do those as a bulk buy. Plus a deep wallet - you can get those off Ebay - the postage is crazy, but they serve you well if you own an Audi. Suck it up & buy one.
For paid mechanics who work on Audi's for customers, one of your most important tools will be a massive invoice book - don't buy the skimpy thin book - opt for the extra-thick ones that come with hundreds of pages as standard - you will need it - don't go for the extra extra large ones - those are for BMW mechanics & people who work on French cars - you just need the extra thick one - XXL is just overkill in this case unless you do a lot of >3 years old Audis.. then maybe XXL is justified..
Lol giant can of beer you've ry explanation I like your way of showing. I needed this I have a VW jetta first time a foreign car. I'm selling it I'm moving out if state family member ailing fast. Cancer. It's snowing here in Connecticut but I want to change spark plugs and oil filter at least before it gets sold I have 4 responses
ОтветитьWhat bit size and tools are needed to remove the auxiliary water pump on a 2012 Touareg?? It’s behind engine and can’t see screw type and very little room to move…..
ОтветитьGreat video - I've collected most of these tools over the years via Amazon christmas lists... Family always wants gift ideas and collecting specialty tools (not when you need them for a job already) is good solution.
ОтветитьThis video is exactly what people need. Well definitely for me
ОтветитьHave you seen the special oil drain plug tool i know most techs just use a screwdriver but I rather use the tool designed to remove it
ОтветитьGood supply of swear words!
