I cringed every time I saw you use the table saw. That will cut your hand off if you slip. Better to use a stick to push the wood.

I saw this video a year ago and did our half bath room and it went great! The wife loves it so much that we are now doing a full bath in this style. Thanks so much for posting this!

Wow. Nice work but very unsafe saw use.

My man. Do you not what your hands? That’s a reckless way of cutting wood on that table saw. Get a microjig my dude.

You should put plastic extenders for your electric box so you don’t have exposed wood beside your screws on your outlet. You never know if it would spark and ignite the wood. Most places it’s code. 👍🏻

Great result, awfully bad practice of cutting those boards without a push-stick.

Good Video, I like your approach slightly better than the first wall i did. Nearly the exact same as what I did. But Im doing a foyer in the home now and came across this video while recalling what wood I had used. And I'm also a DIY DAD,
Nice shirt

That hand over hand cutting that plywood is a huge no no. Please don’t teach bad habits. SMH

Great job. Im really going to give this a try and just stain it in 2 or 3 shades to match our rustic looking living room here in NYC. Thanks for the awesome inspiration.

I am critiquing now, I liked your idea but;
1. I think dark gray took away from ship lap.
2. Do yo think if you cut 30-45 degree bevel if it would have same affect..
3. I agree with others, be more cautious..
4. Buy a longer level::)

Watching you on the table saw gave me the same feeling I get when someone scratches a chalkboard. Holy crap dude. Don't ever do that again.

You can use Stodoys and plans. The best plans and very detailed instructions. You can learn a lot from them and do it yourself.

House for bugs. Such a waste of time, money and energy. Not to mention putting wood on the walls then painting it like plastic from garbage bins.

I didn’t see where or how you did the grooves. Do you need to even rabbit or put grooves in?

If you put your hands near the blade like that at the woodshop I worked at - you'd be fired before you finished the cut.

If you get underlayment the wood is beautiful and smooth on one side and its less than 14 dollars a sheet. No marks and no sanding needed. No knot holes either.

Obviously this guy knows his hands are close to the blade. Thats his business. Everyone is so hyper sensitive these days. If he wants to cut his fingers off, thats his business. Im sure hes been doing this a while. Jesus.

Good job, but man practice some safety. Makes no sense to put a video out people are going to watch and learn to see the person doing the video putting there hand within an inch of a saw blade.

Nice job and thanks for the video. If you're going to paint over the woodgrain, then you might as well use something even cheaper like 1/4" MDF. You'll get the same look. It's a little lighter and easier to handle and it's cheaper.
