Wendy Suzuki's very being and presence speaks for itself! SHE is the message! I am a believer! I would like to know more about scent and memory and context.
ОтветитьLove your podcasts, please keep going. Never stop doing it..
ОтветитьI can listen to Dr Wendy suzuki all day long. Her pronunciation is so clear to understand. However she speaks american english.
Ответитьmore reasons to have aerobics in my life
ОтветитьFabulous discussion and energy. Always so grateful for your work and Dr Suzuki's.
ОтветитьWow, that's super duper interesting. I am interested in memory, brain science.
ОтветитьSorry if the question was already answered but can't find it.
Does zone 2 cardio help build that fluff or should I kick in zone 3-4 or 5 to get those benefits?
I would be honoured to translate them into Spanish, French and German.
ОтветитьLove this interview. She speaks to her hearts desire, and your leafing questions just answered all my humble doubts. Thank you Andrew!❤❤❤
ОтветитьTo be honest: very superficial from neuroscience POV.
ОтветитьExcercise: BNDF (well researched and known fact lol) + Another thing from the muscle.
ОтветитьMay I ask whether the 10min meditation mentioned is called Vipassana meditation?
ОтветитьNote how Andrew doesnt blink with his eyes for 2 min in the intro! Indeed strong fascial expression.
ОтветитьThere is always some kind of metaphorical fornification in this kind of interviews, some blind spots, some premises. Just three.
1. MEDITATING.
Why always 'meditating' ? Why not 'praying' ? Growing up in Europe, my culture is judeo-christian with greco-roman roots. And 'praying' is the thing wherein the conscience of this culture has been formed. Not 'meditating'.
2.WORKING OUT
Living in the countryside in Flanders. Working between Brussels, Paris and Amsterdam. Wgy always knocking of the 'gym-based' working out ? Or 'exercising' ?
If 10.000 human 'homo sapiens sapiens' generations have been bumped around WITHOUT any sweat-filled and machine-driven gyms, why become the 'praised' exercises such a cornerstone for mental and physical health or even longivity ? Could it be a bit overrated ? 45 minutes ? Does our brain or microbiome has some clock ?
3. THE HOLY GRAIL OF RANDOMISED CONTROLLED STUDIES INC & ETC
A reduction of life, omitting such capital elements as food culture, or social context, or working conditions.
Life goes on. And the preachings of neuroscientists do not always make sense.
G, from Flanders, enjoying LIFE, in all its dimensions, 'praying' in community instead of the 'self-centered meditating' , not going to any 'gym' but enjoying cycling and running and walking and swimming, and cooking with fresh vegetables and fruits, eating meat and fish and dairy.
Dr. Huberman, you're a constant part of my workout. Just wanted to let you know that. Thanks for doing this
ОтветитьBdnf release during physical activity
Responsible for growth of new brain cell in hippocampus
THANK YOU. This is SO interesting!
Ответитьthe beginning is a bit underwhelming.
ОтветитьMr.Andrew, how did you not blink for the first 2 minutes ?
ОтветитьI love the idea of saying aloud positive affirmations whilst exercising.
ОтветитьPrayer is also meditation
ОтветитьCold shower 🚿
ОтветитьStep us through
ОтветитьIn keeping with that theme
ОтветитьOutstanding
ОтветитьInteresting how Dr. Huberman never ever mentions the work of Dr. Kelly McGonigal, a colleague of his over at Stanford. It was one of her books on physical movement that opened eyes to just how important physical movement is. I wonder if she's an ex-girlfriend that Andrew wants to forget.
Ответитьi was looking up what foods have beta blockers and I noticed that a lot of food that is supposed to be good for you, for example fish and chicken have natural beta blockers are these foods contributing to memory loss?
ОтветитьThank you, thank you...
ОтветитьWhat a bless it would be to see a podcast related to tea, it sorts, which one for which neurobiological functions and time of the day to use.
ОтветитьHe doesn't blink.
ОтветитьThis is a good resource to learn bout neuroscience for students ... thank you for all that you do, Dr. Andrew!!!
Ответитьwow.. i heard this podcast on spotify until the end while driving and then i watched the episode until the end, same info, but i was more focused or with more attention while driving, just listening. my question is why?
ОтветитьAmazing woman
ОтветитьBlink a little Andrew. C'mon.
ОтветитьAwesome discussion 👏🏽 (5/20/23)
ОтветитьIn one of the podcasts, Andrew said cold exposure after the learning is better to remember things and gave the example that in primitive times the parents would teach something to their kids and then throw them in the river to learn it, or told the story of people getting to accidents of that adrenaline shock, remembering the details.
So basically, my question is cold exposure before learning or after learning to remember something or both?
Thank you! Two brilliant minds! Although, I thought it was ironic that Dr. Suzuki referred to a Stanford scientist who developed idea of the tiny habits, while I am sure it originally was inspired by the Japanese Kaizen method. The humility is impressive. ❤
ОтветитьGreat episode.
ОтветитьNow a days i face problem in remembering face, it takes like 4-5 interactions with the person to remember his face. Even while watching movies. I can't remember. Is there any way to improve it. Thanks
ОтветитьPlease make a podcast on healing muscle tissues
Ответитьlove the episode
ОтветитьExcellent episode
ОтветитьWhat a smile she has ❤
