While the Original and Prequel Trilogies were always a part of my childhood, Rebel Strike was what got me into the actual Universe. It made me pay attention to the ships designs, and certain characters like Wedge, Sarkli, and Crix Madine

This was probably my favorite ship to fly in Rogue Squadron Rebel Strike

Something like that would have made the new Star Wars movies better.

Disney needs to bring this back into canon there is plenty of room in canon to make this work. Since the Storm Commandos are canon I say like in Legends the Storm Commandos can also use them or it can be another Tie prototype that gets stolen like with the Avenger in Andor.

The only other TIE I would choose is the TIE Silencer. These two TIEs are packed with so much performance and firepower.

Part of me believes they deserve more love, and another part of me wants them to stay underrated secrets.

Rule number 1: Always look cool. The TIE Hunter has that in spades.

I think the heavy ordinance should’ve been concussion missiles instead of proton torpedoes because a ship of those dimensions couldn’t have carried more than 4 torpedoes. Also by having them on external racks instead of internally means even a shot from a heavy blaster can take out the whole ship.

Honestly I feel the Tie Hunter and Defender pair up very good as the Tie Defender having more powerful laser cannons while being the fast stronger fighter the Tie Hunter with its ion cannons can disable the enemies and they would be perfect fighters for hit and run attacks giving the Rebels a hard time since both fighters could out perform the X wing and A wing.

I think the main reason the regular tie lasted so long was because every time the Imperials invested in anything with a hyperdrive the Rebels stole it. I mean think about it seriously every tie that has a hyperdrive has a story of it being stolen.

If the TIE-Defender is the imperial upturn of the X-wing, the TIE-Hunter is the improved imperial Y-wing. Or rather Sienar's answer for them at the very least.

Can't wait for you to do the other TIEs from Legends. Y'know like the Aggressor, Sentinel, Raptor, Oppressor, and the Punisher (it's been brought back to Canon from what I've heard).

At first glance, the Tie Hunter would be just a Tie Avenger with S-foils, yet what truly sets these two variants apart is their unique equipment: Tie Hunters have Ion cannons, while Tie Avengers have more laser cannons and sometimes tractor beams.

with a recent release of a lego set X-Wing+Tie Fighter combo set. cool thing about that set is that you can take the X-Wing's wings and put them on the Tie Fighter. effectively getting you a Tie Hunter

From what I heard, most Rebel pilots downright refuse to fly a TIE, except when necessary for a mission and of course, former Imperial pilots who defected.

I love this thing as a direct response to the T-65B. Remember the X-Wing was originally created for the Empire, Palps really fucked up on that one huh.

The s-foils on this ship seem pointless.
The one on the X-wing open to radiate heat more efficiently by exposing the "radiators".
These are always exposed, so what's the point?
It's the same reason I find the sequel trilogy X-wings to be kinda stupid.

Nah, this is just the edge lord fighter of the Star Wars fandom. This ship is poorly designed, the foil could have been behind the cockpit to provide a huge view angle benefit.
