Interesting story, but kind of a reach to call him a fugitive of the state when no warrant for his arrest was ever issued.. Killing the skunk was a bad look, but he was also in a public (possibly military) space cutting down trees, which is not super legal either. If all they're talking about doing is issuing him a fine, then he's coming out pretty clean all things considered.

It's wild that I'm hearing about this for the first time, since this happened in my area. I've not been able to find any local news coverage of it. For clarification, since the subtitles are wrong, he's saying that he was near Lowell, Oregon and that he was 15 minutes from town. Lowell is a tiny town about 45 minutes outside Eugene, Oregon. There's a big reservoir up there, lakes, rivers, good camping.

This is how i look at it. You do like everybody else does it. You go work and save up for land to purchase like we all do. You dont go out and spend 15 grand on a nice truck when you already have a vehicle for transportation

And drain your savings and just squat on already owned land.
