Been checking bestubuy they dont sell the $1800 model anymore

I have tried several ways to turn on the laptop from closed to no avail. What method are you using? I plan to use it as a desktop setup.

I got the G15, adding a Samsung 980 Pro 1TB Gen 4, but the drive only read 3600 mb/s read and 3300 mb/s write. Do you get the max speed of Gen 4 PCI-E? the 980 Pro suppose to get to 7000mb/s & 5000 mb/s.

Been really enjoying your vids as an owner of the G15 myself for about a month. Can you do some more in depth looks at it’s features now that you’re sticking with it? A look at the manual mode in Armoury Crate would be pretty cool since ASUS themselves don’t provide a whole ton of info on how to make the most out of it.

Great video! Any reason for not considering the MSI GS66? I'm debating the 32gb/3080 version of the G15 vs. the GS66 and can't decide which might be more reliable long-term.

Waiting for the new lenovo legion's to drop to make my decision I think.

Twice my local BestBuy had a g15 in stock, and I missed out both times.. Third time was the charm and I haven't regretted it yet.

In my country the Asus G15 with WQHD panel and the RTX3070 is 635USD more than with the Full HD panel and RTX3060. Is it worth it ?

Does it run Premiere Pro smoothly?

For my use case the numpad on the aero is awesome.
But they did not need the "creator" class screen that pushes the price up too much.
(a 4k on that small screen? wtf?) No trickle charge? wtf?

The G15 is awesome - but feels like they had more room for heat, and room on the keyboard for a numpad.
Also, what is up with soldering in the ram.....also, can't seem to get the 32gb 3080 in gray - don't want to pay the premium for the white paintjob.
No webcam? yeah, supposedly it means a more sturdy screen...but really, no webcam?
I mean, the benefit of being light - is travel - and when traveling now a days you want a webcam....and now have to carry one.

They both are great machines - but feel like they suffer from some bad design decisions - rather than necessary design compromises.

Does this have a numpad built into the trackpad? It's one thing I haven't been able to work out. I know other Asus laptops have that feature, but this model hasn't given any clues.

Last time i played on this laptop my CPU temp was 90 Celsius, is this normal? I didnt have any freezes or stutters

I purchased this a month or so ago. I'm a Mac user but I needed something with an Nvidia card for 3D rendering plus I'm back into gaming a bit on Steam. Haven't had a Windows PC in so long but I love this machine and I've been using it so much. All need is the know how to open this thing up and add a second HD and RAM upgrade.

Hey Great videos, super helpful. I got lucky and picked one of these up on BB, but I do have one (literally only one) fatal issue with it that I'd like to share... maybe important to you or some viewers. Hooking up a Valve Index via the USB 3.2/Displayport connection does NOT fully work. Even though the connection bypasses the IGP, I am losing consistent frames and constant stuttering makes this computer a deal-breaker at this point. Ive contacted ASUS/Valve, for possible fixes and have gotten nowhere. could be a simple Nvidia/USB driver issue because the port has the horsepower obviously. The cable matters USB/Displayport connector works fine on my desktop coming out of an Nvidia 2080ti, so that's not the issue either, and yes all of the ASUS Aura lighting effects and any other BS background processes were stopped/uninstalled. SO although I LOVE this laptop, and hate to even write this, I am returning it. I have no choice because I do a lot of VR. Does anyone have the same issue? or a fix? I have alot of hours looking into this Laptop and was very close to buying it. Its so sexy and overall great build but however if you looking to game especially CPU heavy games you will be really dissapointed since the massive bottleneck due to the lack of Mux-switch and the fairly low Watt for the GPU.

I noticed the lid of my G15 is slightly curved. Is this normal or is this the lid warping due to the heat vents??

If we are talking screen brightness how many more nits does the 450 nit KC Aero have over the Asus?

I ordered this laptop and should arrive in a day or two, and i'm seriously considering getting something to cover those dots on the lid. They don't look attractive at all. I currently use an Alienware m15 r3 which works really well and I love it but it's 2 hour battery has been a major pain for me. Hopefully the g15's 7+ hour battery life serves me well.

I got my G15 ordered. Best Buy gave me a huge discount on it because of the problems with my 3 razer blade 15 exchange situation (yeah I said 3. In one year.) I am excited to get it. Is the M2 skin easy to put on? Take off? Thanks again for all the G15 coverage.

Like you said, after you go to high refresh rate displays (120hz+), it's hard to go back. But how about sucking up the 1.3k : 1 contrast ratio after using/coming from OLED rigs/units? What are your thoughts here

On my desktop rig my monitor is a 48 CX (running in 4k 120hz). For my living room (htpc rig) my monitor is q90t (4k 120hz as well).

I ordered this at best buy open box excellent for $1720 after taxes. Have 30 days to return but this was by far the best price to performance ratio for me. Can't find a 3070 AERO below $2.1k pre-tax.

Finally got the 3080 model at a massive sale from newegg, can't wait to use it! It seems like here in Canada that model is now $500 (CAD) off for those who are thinking about buying it.

Within 1 hour of this upload, I went to Best Buy and got a $300 dollar adjustment from my purchase a couple weeks ago THANK YOU!!!

My g15 is a pile of crap. First problem is the exhaust heat has warped my screen and has pressure on it on the lower right corner where i don’t know how much longer it has before it breaks the screen. My Fans get locked at 100% randomly on start up and restarting doesn’t fix it. I have to shut it down and then reboot to fix it. Temps on start up are not even high. It’s a cold machine and they lock at 100% and never come back down. My key caps paint on wsd is all gone. Can’t hook up an external monitor with the system freezing. Every single time. Even after I’ve re-installed windows 10 twice and tried 11 and still all the issues. I’ll never ever buy another asus laptop ever again. They are absolute junk. Luckily i have Best Buy warranty and I’m ditching this pile. Going with the omen 17”. Buddy has one and he gets a average of 15-30 more fps in every single game at the same settings and resolution and has no issues at all and about the same price.

I just got this laptop 3 days ago and I get worried about the heat it produces mainly in the middle top part above the keyboard near the vents and I don't know if that will overheat or damage the laptop over time it only gets hot when gaming and I haven't had any problems, but I just don't like how hot that part becomes can you please let me know if it has become a problem for you it would mean a lot.

I just bought this laptop for my wife at best buy. I got it open box with taxes here in California for 1,276. I almost bought the Alienware x15 open box since it was 150 more and it looks good. But the specs on this laptop were better and it was cheaper then Alienware.

Type C dock works great make sure to leave laptop lid open and only display monitor 2 (External). If you leave lid closed it will overheat and reboot the laptop. This laptop is not meant to be closed the airflow design is the flaw of the rebooting while gaming with external monitor.
