Alex, this video is just WRONG. No other way to describe this. No-one with any knowledge of colour grading or Resolve would work or recommend working like this. So many points are Just plain wrong methods of colour management in Resolve and if your watchers follow your method then they will get into lots of issues.

I recommend you take the free Resolve Colour training course to understand where you are wrong.

i never acctually use a Camera before. i just know which button to press to record and etc. i know a little in the settings, but. i never did something really game changer, so. i may sound stupid becuz idk what im talking about. but idk what my lumix g7 color space is?? because when i tried color grading it and apllying CST with Panasonic input. the color gets really weird. or even when i use a LUT. am i missing something important? other than not knowing what my lumix g7 config is?

I've watched countless colour grading tutorials by this point and none of them have come even close to this. You clearly explained what each step actually achieved, and crucially the best order to do them in. Zero unnecessary information to confuse things. Thankyou!

The tutorial is good but it's somewhat frustrating and ironic talking about clipping point of exposure while your talking head is literally clipping the background of the city :D

Great videos! This workflow helps a lot. I work in Premiere is it safe to say what you’re talking about for me is
Gain is blacks
Gamma is shadows
Lift is highlights
Offset is global exposure?

Great video Alex thanks! I had in mind that we do everything after converting to 709. So also in FCP we have to do the same? To have the convert at the end? And last question if you keep the convert at the beginning of your notes and after have your serials forward what will be happen to your result? Thanks. (*you giving your explanation at the last minutes of your video but I had to ask.)

Great video, one thing, please people who read this, be sure your monitor is calibrated with a actual calibration tool, not a still images on your screen. A simple one is the xrite SpyderX.. otherwise all your time spent adjusting will be for nothing..

One step i am not sure about is to put the LUT conversion at the last spot. I use PhantomLUTs for my A7Siii log-footage. I only use exposure and white balance correction before the LUT since they correct offsets in the camera setup while filming. This way it provides the results the LUT was designed for. All other corrections come afterwards. I don‘t know what difference it makes if i work into the LUT as a final step.
