Been there! Pretty cool, but it’s about 30-45 minutes outside of Madrid. Public transportation is accessible and not difficult to figure out if you Speak Spanish.

There is only one Cathedral in a diocese. It could be called a Basilica but that is left to the Holy Father and the Vatican. For it to be called a church it has to be consecrated by the Bishop.

Why did the cathol8c church not improved the structure to be considered as safe building

It's better if the church remains autonomous because if the Catholic Church gets a hold of it, that would not be a good thing. They don't have a good track record. They'll give it away or sell it. And with this new pope I wouldn't trust anything about but they are capable of.

The Catholic Church is very meticulous in admitting everything. Our church is not a church that does things haphazardly. There must be a strong reason behind all of that. I really believe in the church's decision.
