I wonder if they make these for anything else other than jeeps?

If you change balljoints more than once on a vehicle, you didn't do it right the first time.

The caster adjustment instructions are bogus. You have adjustable control arms. How those are adjusted affects the caster. They are assuming the axle is adjusted to zero? What if you are at -2 degrees and then put the 1.5 bushing in? You end up with -0.5. To do this properly you would have of put it on an alignment rack and then determine which bushing degree is needed. However you just ground the things down. They are trashed.
Another thing. You better grind that perfectly to prevent it from moving around and eating up the axle. I would probably tack it in place.
Al that said. I don’t care about anything but toe on my Jeep. It’s never going to drive like a car on the road. Caster won’t cause tire wear. Your camber sill be fine as long as the axle is straight and the “ball joints” are good. Set the tow with a tape measurer and you are good.

After a level and 35’s on my Ram, this will probably be my next purchase.

Never done ball joints after 105k miles now, but I know it’s time, and I don’t want to be replacing them again.

It would be nice to see a "detailed" video on the actual install, pressing in the cups/BJD's, while explaining the do's and don'ts of the procedure, and how to get them going in straight/evenly. Also, which tools to use, adapters etc., (apparently there's an angled adapter that works well on Jeep axles, may even be very difficult without it???), getting the axles in without damaging the seals, especially the long side. (I do know some tricks, but I have seen seals still get damaged even with what should have worked to avoid it, and there's always more than one way to skin a cat). And any other pertinent information. I was bummed to see that part of the install shoot by at high speed with little, or really more like no information, on the procedure in this video. That is what I was watching to actually see. maybe you have already done one with that information? I have a 2009 JKUR with Dynatrac ProRock 44U. Reid Racing knuckles, RCV axles, etc. I just ordered a set of Am. Iron BJD's Gen2, had a Gen 1 set waiting and then the Gen 2's came out so looks like I have a set of Gen 1 JK 30/44 BJD's for sale.

A ball joint delete unfortunately is just a band-aid for a inferior design to the king pin. With a king pin front axle you essentially have a full float axle as your wheel is on a spindle with it's own rebuildable bearing assembly. You can snap a stub shaft crawlin' and your wheel still stays on, not so with a ball joint/unit bearing design. Not to mention true high steer with the (double arm setup) getting the drag link up and out of the way. Not so practical with a ball joint front axle assembly.

Why is it jeeps ? My 07 chevy 1/2 ton , that relates to a 3/4 ton , eats ball joints more than my imitation 2000 jeep grande cherokee laredo 2wd 4.0 ..clean but its 2wd ...you got a set of axles ? I got a 09 6.2 out of a 09 denali motor , 6 speed and transfer case , but the way it drives ? Shoot i need axles first .

Funny, I found your video because I was very curious as to how a ball joint delete worked, after 2 things, 1: I watched Matt's Off-Road Recovery install a set on the Banana, and 2: I watched Rory from TrailMater/MOAB Motorsports/Off-Road Recovery -recover a Jeep today with a sheared off/Broken ball-joint delete. Obviously they can and will break. I do see the benefit, but they aren't bullet proof. Neither were the king-pin design, which is why engineers developed an "easier to replace" component for daily drivers.

Don't forget your alignment will cost twice the norm. Some shops won't align unless they replace those ball joints if the sleeve freezes.

Some fkn ball joints are God damn made to have in n out play brand new....come tf on with half ass opinion or partial knowledge of one single vehicle type.
Don't believe me ask moog unless u think their wrong or their certified suspension/steering tech instructors are wrong also. Last thing is some ball joints must be installed in a very specific way by that I mean their directional. Incorrect install will bust them clean off shearing the threaded shaft.

You are so wrong! Ball joints are built with some up and down movement! They must have some up and down movement because no 2 axles and knuckles can match perfect so the up and down is there to take up any variance! The only ball joints that are more solid are the adjustable ones. henc adjustable... You even stated the knuckle is tight telling you there is a problem and the problem is because you have no up and down movement in either joints! You will have memory steer because of it. I myself like the king pin but king pins can be set to move free!

Not a terrible idea, but a STUPID exaggerated price! There is no "performance gain from them. The only real gain is not having to press in replacements, which is a PITA at times. But you still have to do all of the same dis/assembly. If anything, now you have 3 additional nuts to install. Interesting idea, zero TRUE benefit. If anything Im willing to bet that they wear FASTER. And the cost is nothing short of asinine! Sure... great content with sponsored parts. But worthless to the real world!

it would be better if you could actually grease that spherical bearing , by drilling a bore through the shank of the bolt and then a drill a side hole for grease , the same way shackle bolts are with grease able bushings

I just did upper and lowers on my XJ and it was a nightmare since I had to long arm crank them in and the press I rented didn’t have the “exact” size press cup to force it in straight. These would be a great alternative since they don’t have the joint leg sticking out to consider when pressing

A little bit of misinformation here, no matter how many times you change your ball joints and what style you use will not trash your axle. It will wear on your knuckle but not your axle. Only time it would wear on your axle is if the bolt was not tight enough. Plus you can always swap out your “C’s.” A benefit to a ball joint is a smoother ride but that’s null and void .
