He's already injured; instead of getting help, she shot again. She should have just kicked him out of the house and raised white flag instead of using self defence as an excuse.

I have been following true crime since the 60s, have worked ambulance and have gotten not quite jaded but accustomed to what rotten things people can do to one another but hearing this bright kid calling for help and realizing he is going to die is heartbreaking. It didn't happen because of an accident or an illness. It happened because somebody who is supposed to love and protect him is an evil and conniving POS. That poor kid. 😢

If that had been a black kid, non of this would have happened because the system would have locked them up pronto, the first time and not this nonsense of urine tests twice in a day. First time stop by police would have done it. The granny would now be facing 25 to life.

I’m only 15 mins in but her defense is clearly ignorant. If you were scared for your life so much so that you felt you had to shoot him then why would you go back after he was down and away from you just to shoot him some more? Stupidest thing I’ve ever heard which I’m sure the prosecutors will call her on it

A controlling person like her has to have direct forceful control resulting in immediate and total obedience. Sending him to rehab would not give her that kind of thrill of power.

That poor kid. That old hag was a homicidal maniac who took it out on Jonathon.

He was the only one she had to control since her husband was so elderly and feeble. For her to make up so many lies about that kid was disgusting.

She planned to kill him all along, she executed him.

It’s too bad she’s so old because she’ll never serve out that sentence. She could have called his mother and said she couldn’t handle him any longer and she needed to pick him up. She had NO right to murder him.
Poor kid didn’t even get the chance to do anything with his life.😢

Why so this dispatcher keep saying his grandparents as if the grandfather was involved with actually shooting him? This is why I don't appreciate women for this one reason and that is THEY DON'T TAKE IN ACCOUNT THAT FEFMALES, WOMEN ARE VERY WICKED AND WILL DO ANYTHING WORSE THAN A MAN WOULD...HE SAID THAT HIS 'GRANDMOTHER" SHOT HIM...NOTHING ABOUT A GRANDFATHER SHOOTING HIM...THAT DILUTED POLICE DISPATCHER IS JUST A PAIN IN THE BEHIND!!!

@skipmullen7047 - 17.12.2023 21:29

I put this responsibility onto a woman that has already paid her dues by raising her own child(ten) was so wrong of the kids parents. Jonathon was their sole responsibility. I have taken in three children at various times in my life. If you did not raise a child from the beginning and up until age seven, you are not going to change them. The only thing you can do is attempt to keep them out of trouble. Once a caregiver becomes older they don’t have the stamina or energy or strength required of troubled kids. The only people that should have been arrested is his parents for neglect.

It's a good thing the old man listened to her and obeyed her orders not to return untill she called, or he probably would've felt her wrath as well. With their mental state diminishing, old people should not have guns lying around and not be allowed to own one.

Awful.. just awful. His age can be some very tough years. I can remember being sent to live with my grandparents at age 15. I was doing stuff that I shouldn’t. But when I went to live with them I didn’t ever want to disappoint them so I was always very good for them. They had always been so kind to me. I just didn’t want to disappoint them.
