Do you need an Amp?

Can anyone tell me how many patterns it can save totally?

Do you feel like it can replace a drum machine?

I don't get how back then it was £379 and now it's almost £500.

How do I get this to work with cubase? additional sound filters (+arpeggio) don't work, and it plays wrong sounds (like guitar is piano, and brass is is flute, and drum is FX)

Can u save to pc has MP3/4 ?

Awesome vid. I'm a synth novice, but that drum looping feature seems like a strong selling point. Do any other synths in this price range (or lower) have this feature? Can it loop chord sequences too?

In 2022, is there any synth on the market that is like this with full size keys, more keys, and more multitimbral abilities along with an arp and sequencer?

Shift also works with the Cursor up/down buttons to skip through the categories of parameters (OSC, filter etc.) instead of single parameters.

It's a shame is only 4 tracks and you cannot use the vocoder with analog synth. Piano is not good.

I find the piano patch to be absolutely worthless, the dynamic range of the keystrokes is impossible to tame. I am new to synthesis, does anybody know if there is a way to change the dynamic range of the keystrokes?

I just got one used, no manual of course lol so I'm trying to figure out what works and what doesnt running blind, but I enjoy the sounds alot, very usable for my music. my next step is to experiment with midi and my guitar synth interface.

I have a well furnished studio. 25 years in the synth game.
The JD-XI has been my go to synth now for over 4 years.
Sketch pad, performance & recording.
It’s a fantastic synth. Incredible audio quality. An absolute bargain.
I do not use computers generally in the studio. Use the Akai MPC Studio Black only (Another fantastic underrated tool).
I’ve created some great work using JD-XI. It’s earned it’s original purchase price multiple times over & over.
Reliability - Perfect. Flawless reliability. Never failed a note in thousands of hours use.
Roland created the perfect compact synthesiser.

Really looking forward to Rolands next generation of portable sub £500 synths.
Topping the JD-XI will be hard work.

PS - Love the vocoder mic position face Nick at 4 minutes. Very Alan Partridge. Funny.

Too bad that with all that capability you couldn’t come up with a demo that was actually musical.

Why the hell is there no damper pedal input. . . . so tilting. This is literally the perfect machine for me otherwise.

Is it just me? The red on black and red glow makes me think of a Klingon D7 K'Tinga battlecruiser.

did they fix the filter stepping? seems... not good. none of my other cheap synths filter step... thought we left that type of thing back in 1998

just bought one and i love it! mine came with an alternative cover with the parameters written in white, so the words being red was not a problem, I just put the cover on.

How is it a starter synth? Are all vocoders and drum machines beginner synths?

I'm not exactly new to synths, but admittedly not super experienced as well so I'm not familiar with this whole "analog vs digital" crap. All I know is that this synth sounds pretty nice to my ears.

id never sell mine. its sequencer is excellent and great for sequencing other gear. this synth help rocket my music production into another dimension tbh. the super natural engine is fine by me and there are beats galore to choose from. top affordable synth
