I just watched “Silent Night” (2021) a “British black comedy about the end of world” NO! It’s the scariest saddest movie with the happiest funny trailer I’ve seen since “My Girl”. And that movie experience f’ed my lil 11y/o ass UP.
“Silent Night” is basically every parent’s worst nightmare. The world is done. You can A) let the chips fall where they may and let nature do it’s horrible painful killing thing. OR B) give the littles and yourself an “Exit pill” provided by The Government so it’s “painless quick and quiet”?
Truly both these movies are hitting just a lil too close to home for me given the current world situation…

Your absolutely right and I saw statistic recently stating that 85% of the worlds population lives in cities now, cities are death traps, my guess is almost 100% death rate for anyone who doesn't flee the city immediately and likely you won't hospitality in the rural areas unless you're from there. Day 1: no water for anything above ground level as all buildings utilize electric pumps to get water above ground level buildings. Looting, murder and rape. Day 2: Much of the same of day 1 only intensifying, all stores cleaned out and no more food available as they are a 24 supply under "just in time" supply chain. Individuals, groups, gangs, etc, start invading and looting more private residences and anywhere they think they can find food and water, not to mention those who just our out to pillage, rape, murder and steal anything. Day 3: Still no food, hunger is making people desperate, many deaths from those who require medicine on a daily basis, diabetics, heart conditions, etc. Water at ground level begins to fail as the demand on gravity fed water supplies begins to drain the system, only hours of already sketchy supply left. After this you can count on the worst of humanity and those refugee numbers attempting to flee the city ballooning to huge numbers making escape slow and near impossible for many not to mention exceedingly dangerous for rape, murder and theft. Additional Information: By at least day 4 many rural communities will block access to their communities and arm the road blocks denying access to anyone attempting to enter as it won't take long to realize their resources are easily over run and very bad people will take every advantage, there's no telling who that might be in the crowd and bad people are extremely good manipulators, so, likely a smart community will make no exceptions no matter the sob story. Life is tough all around Grasshopper, you shouldn't have laughed at people who knew and warned you, "where was your fear when you could have done something" said Noah from a high window in a big boat, with the doors barred and the rain falling hard. The malice and resentment towards those of us who do prepare is palpable, even now you hear cries from those who will be begging us later, to confiscate our property now and even imprison us. Anything with an electronic chip in it won't function, there won't be any vehicles besides the odd leftover from a smarter period that has points and the owner was smart enough to keep a set of spare points, condenser and voltage regulator in faraday cage or bag or both. True, fuel in the tanks at filling stations are run electrical pumps but those survive fire from induction can still be siphoned with hand pumps, the thing is how many old school vehicles are out there and who had the spare electrical components in a Faraday bag/cage? This is all a horror story based on the fact that induction doesn't burn everything to the ground immediately anyways, if that happens almost no one survives the city and that horror will be biblical. The only population left alive will be rural and those Government agents that immediately fled to their bunkers, which I hope we can find a fill those gopher holes with water as I won't have them coming back and attempting to restore their brand of wicked, evil, malevolent Government once again, if it wasn't for them this wouldn't have to be the threat it is in the first place. They know, they don't care and they never will care, they have a place prepared and most people won't ever see them again before they die. They don't have firearms, the criminals do, in cities, they don't have food, they laugh at anyone who doesn't go get their food on a daily basis, meal by meal, as crazy people. Three days of food and water for emergency as directed, very few even heed those warnings and those who do are likely to sit on that supply until it's gone expecting help that is never coming to arrive. Once they realize no help is coming and their three days of food and water is gone, it's too late to go anywhere and the world outside, wherever they where hiding, is exponentially more dangerous then it was at the outset of the event. Finally and I could go on for an entire book but for this, finally the millions of cartel members, jihadists and whatever else the current administration has let in to the country as an invasion force drives the threat level of a power outage beyond comprehension as they will immediately be the worst of the worst, they will be armed, they already hate US citizens, they have no morals of which we can recognize and their gang numbers will almost be to much in polity form of criminal gangs plundering, raping, murdering and have themselves a grand old time. There are those who say, "if something like that happens I just want to die immediately and not live in that world", I call bullshit on that. You'll want to live and you'll be kicking yourself for being against civilian firearm ownership and knowing nothing at all about survival or living in the real natural world and the derision you showed to those who wanted to maintain that way of life and knowledge.
