As effective as throwing rocks... aim, pull up (to get extra range on the rockets), flares out, fire hopping you got the general area correct and roll away before a manpad gets you (Ukrainians do the same). Rockets are supposed to be a 3/4 of a mile (1.5 km) weapon, not a 3 km weapon. Wasted ammo

im sorry that ppl are dying in the war but this is some awesome POV footage...can someone educate me why they dont put more rocket pods? i see 2 rocket pods are being carried and the flying tank can clearly carry more, doesn't feel very efficient to fly a mission and only be able to strike one target which you could miss or fail to completely destroy...yes, i know that carrying less load would be the plane faster but that cant be the main reason...

The US is using the highest tech AG missiles on A-10s and fighter-bombers in order to ensure correct target hits while the Russians want to win a whole war using just cheap and very inaccurate rockets and not even in the right number to make sure some hit the targets correctly. The Su-25 can carry 8 S-13 rockets pylons but they are only sent to war with 2 pylons on each plane and 2 planes and both can be shot down by Stinger manpads. Who are the utterly retarded generals and leaders putting these dead meat pilots go to war like that?

They are S-13 rocket pods (133mm rockets) not S-8 (81mm rockets)

Any pilots here? I have always been amazed that weapons can be aimed and fired with any kind of accuracy while flying evasively that close to the ground. I mean, how do you even aim at a target on your horizon that is going to disappear in under 3 seconds? Does the plane do the rangefinding for you or is it just estimation based on experience and training? Hitting something in a dive seems like it would be a LOT easier but I understand why you wouldn't want to do that against any kind of well equipped force

Both of these planes are a piece of beauty, the Russian Sukhoi 25 and the North American A-10 Thunderbolt. Shame they have to be used to destroy and kill people.

The Su-25 is an amazing plane, wish I could fly one.

people dont relize that russia is just playing with urkaine... poking them, if they want they can just use nukes... lol obviously that would look bad so they dont... but they could. the fact they used unguided missles and su-25 means they dont bring out the big guns.. actully VERY far from it its like on new years eve when you use the small crickets fireworks and then in the end fire the big batteries.
