just so we are clear, expensive coffee needs expensive brewing methods and water to be actually good. it's like a good pair of headphones. you think they are bad because you didn't get an amp and dac with it.
ОтветитьYou should taste and rate them BEFORE you know what you're tasting - that way you're not trying to figure out cheats like oils, or tasting poop. And let's face it, coffee is just a vehicle for cream and sugar.
ОтветитьThey should do another video of this kind, putting James Hoffman to the test.
Ответитьi've tried coffee luwak.. i don't really like it.. hahahah i'll stick to the cheap beans..
ОтветитьObviously it all comes down to the brewing method which wasn't specified, so I wouldn't trust the comparison too much, but I do find it hard to believe that just because the process is unique and complicated for the luwak it would somehow be much tastier. You're obviously paying for the gimmick. If it objectively resulted in a much better coffee then coffee makers would simply replicate it in the factory.
ОтветитьYou guys should do an American coffee show trying all our coffees! Folgers, Maxwell House, Dunkin Donuts, Eight oclock Bean
ОтветитьI'm so proud! Nescafe for the win! I literally saved so much money making my own coffee at work with nescafe it's the best!
ОтветитьThis just goes to show you that nobody actually LIKES just coffee. We like cream and sugar that sorta tastes like coffee. :D
ОтветитьOkay, please refrain from buying kopi luwak. It is heavily associated with animal abuse. The wild civets get captured and the fed coffee beans, so they produce the product. It is not a "wild" product someone collected in the forest.
ОтветитьIn all fairness, I don't think he did that badly. Who knows what coffee processed through an animal would taste like? He did get the class of coffee he is accustomed to drinking correct. And those cheap Tesco beans may have been old or not properly stored. Netscape has been around a very long time. They probably have mastered instant coffee. Lesson: Don't buy pricey, trendy goods.
Ответитьi really dont like heavy roasted coffee beans, literally like drinking charcoal water. making difference between good and bad coffee is so hard if they are mostly heavy roasted beans
ОтветитьI'm from Indonesia and i can agree myself kopi luwak is kinda unique
ОтветитьI feel like Ollie guessed more correctly than Leo 😅 but i’m relieved as well that Leo guessed the number 2 right!!
ОтветитьAll coffee tastes like shit, no matter where it comes from, or how expensive or is. I tried everything, but nothing makes me to like coffee. I love the smell, but it just tastes like shit. I think this experiment has proved or it everybody else is wrong.
ОтветитьJust shows you can work at a coffee shop and know nothing about coffee
ОтветитьI think you need to make an episode with James Hoffman.
Ответитьnestle ftw!
ОтветитьNo need to be embarrassed, Leo. I still remember you drinking the Naga Chili Vodka without flinching... so you remain a legend.
ОтветитьNever trust a coffee taste test to a nation of tea drinkers. 🙃🤣🤗
Ответить저 커피 뭔지 궁금한데요.. 제일 싸면서 맛도 좋은커피라니
ОтветитьLuwak ain't a rodent. It's the Asian Palm Civet. In the Philippines, we call that a "Musang" or "Alamid".
ОтветитьWatching this, I now want them to have an episode with James Hoffmann!!! I reckon it’ll be a good episode.
ОтветитьIf I ever have to have instant coffee I buy the Nescafé Azera! I’m not expert on coffee but I think it’s quite nice for an instant coffee 🤷🏽♀️
ОтветитьDrink what you like, what tastes good to you don't buy into the BS of more expensive is always better. And with all the experiential stuff even the people in the industry won't stand a chance when properly blinded test comes around. And there are people extolling virtues of different WDTs etc. Placebo effect of knowing the price/label design is strong.
ОтветитьHow come that Nescafe costs more like 700 per kg now that I checked the price for it? That is a lot more expensive than the poo coffee.
ОтветитьIt is funny how someone can put random dirt in a bag, put a price tag of a thousand dollars on it, and all the people who are really bad with money and easily influenced because of lacking self worth will buy it or at least wish to buy it some day
Ответитьluwak coffee is one of my favorite coffee ever, you guys definetly got the wrong one
ОтветитьNescafe Azera?? Whattttt? I want to taste it, oh my.... I bacame really curious.
ОтветитьI think it depends how it was prepared. The beans should've been done in an espresso not french press.
ОтветитьI infinitely prefer instant coffee to brewed coffee.
ОтветитьSelamat anda telah mencoba kopi luwak
Me from Indonesia 😀
Any way bye
인스턴트가 달고 원두가 쓴건 당연한거 아닌가.. 바리스타라면서 향으로 커피 평가하는게 아니라 맛으로 평가하는게 신기하네
Ответить❤️❤️
ОтветитьWe just crushed a man’s soul.
ОтветитьOh poor Leo, if only we can bring him back for a redemption round
ОтветитьFun fact this coffee first created in Bengaluru ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು
ОтветитьI drinks it almost every Day xD
ОтветитьI have cat allergies. A friend let me drink some of Kopi Luwak that he got from his company. It made my throat starts itching just very slightly, not unbearable, just noticeable.
There's still some cat colon left in those beans.
You just need someone from Portland Oregon who's a barista at Stump town to show you the way
Ответитьthe problem with kopi luwak is some of them are not made with good quality.
ОтветитьTo be fair, instant coffee isn't actually bad, for real. A real lot of pastry chefs use instant coffee to make various recipes ( mousses, parfaits, coffee flavoured pastry creams etc... ) and they taste very good ( unless you buy the cheapest ones ).
It's always better to buy a high quality instant coffee than buying medium to low quality beans.
Oil on top?! You mean crema..
ОтветитьNext time just try ranking by your preferences instead of the branding.😅🤣
ОтветитьSaying the cheapest coffee better than the cheap coffee itself
Is loke entering the new dimension
Love the video, I reckon you'd think differently if you did the following:
1. Ground the beans in the correct way.
2. Use spring water from up north where the water is softer.
3. Brewed the coffee correctly.
The bitterness comes from scorching the coffee with boiling water. Instead water should be about 80degreesC.
Why not repeat the test but also include the method of making the coffee as part of the test?
They messed up on the brew lol
ОтветитьIt's from indonesia u idiot (the kopi luwak), the queen doesn't drink that
Ответить
