I appreciate lower leg kicks as A tool in the toolbox, but you end up with very one-dimensional fights. Also, would have rather heard in-fight commentary than techno music. 🤷‍♀️

Punishing both legs, repeatedly, is the way to go...If they are not an MMA exponent or Nak Muay, they will not be able to take even a few of these, without their leg just failing on them, big style.....I have ended a number of self defence situations on the first couple of solid calf kicks....
( My left leg is hell on earth for raw power.... People freak out when I throw it, and I even have to be careful nowadays, as I have developed phenomenal power in both the hands and feet.....At 45, having been trained in the martial arts since I was 2 years old ( My grandfather was Paavi, or Irish Traveller.... and moved to Australia to escape the racism that his people faced in Britain....
[ Learned the traditional family system with the Shillelagh too...{ Bareknuckle Boxing is the empty hand art for the Irish martial arts, if you drop your stick, the hands, forearms, elbow, head, knees and feet become the weapons.
All techniques banned by the Marquis of Queensbury are not only included, and trained, both to use and learnt to defend against at all times, they are even somewhat emphasized, and included in your combos.... finishing with big heavy punches, in rapid combo, with elbow, head, and knees to the groin often added in ( often all hitting at once!)
There are takedowns and standup grappling included in Irish traditional martial arts, also... Ground defence is based on striking, nasty tricks, and an emphasis to get up very quickly, or people will likely start playing football with your head(!!)....}]).....
On top of that, we learn to have a "clean go" also, and often settle disputes with straight Bareknuckle Boxing, among our own.
With my base in Irish Bareknuckle, I went on to immerse myself in MMA and Vale Tudo, Muay Thai, and Filipino Kali/Arnis/Eskrima, the latter having fast tracked my entire lifetime of training, and enhanced it all beyond belief......
All those years I have practiced intensive conditioning ( What the Chinese would refer to as Iron Fist, Iron Shins, And Iron Forearms, and learn to take a solid punch or 20, and condition the entire body.....
The end result is literally an absolute human weapon....( Like I said, I have to be careful these days, as my fists and elbows are basically like rocks and iron bars!!!....I am tending more towards an Aikido like approach as I grow older, and the last time I had to defend myself, I just broke both the guys hands, and started calf kicking the shit out of the big fella, who soon lost his will to fight.....
Anyway, as the Kravists say: "Walk in Peace" my fellow warriors....
The deeper you go into the warrior arts, the less likely you are to ever face violence from others, I have found, and you even eventually reach a level where you have various options available to you as to how you respond....It is truly quite remarkable..... Peace!!☮️!!!

Calf kick in mma is just as important as the jab is to boxing. Everyone needs to be conditioning their shit and throwing them just like a jab.
Like the burns v chimaev fight burns gave up on the calf kick. Imo if kept the leg kicks coming he would’ve won that fight. He threw a few and quit.
Also in personal every day life if you get into a street fight and you have conditioned shins, you’re going to drop someone. These fucking kicks at just half power hurt like a mother.

The lower leg kick takes so much less time to destroy compared to thigh kicks. Less than one round and your opponent can have their calf completely tenderized. Finger lickin good.
