I'm surprised how nice the gobi is for the price. The full coverage of the G10 over the liner is really premium in the hand. And, in natural g10 at least, it's not nearly as "murdery" as my 0462!
ОтветитьWhat is the kershaw model in this video GT? Thank you.
ОтветитьI own a couple of cjrb knives, the arrmp9 is an excellent type of steel. Very sharp. I have a work sharp system to get them awesomely sharp.
ОтветитьI have that exact Gobi. Natural/Satin. It’s been excellent!
ОтветитьI just received this same exact CJRB FELDSPAR in the Blue Color also a few day's ago from Amazon. I paid $30.42 total with tax included delivered. It's most definitely one of the BEST budget knives available today (Thursday 12/29/22) in my opinion. Thank you for sharing this excellent review.
ОтветитьThe Feldspar beats the Delica and Endura and any other Spyderco under $100
ОтветитьThanks for the video. I've been thinking about buying a feldspar but wasn't sure if CJRB was a good quality company or not but it seems like they may be comparable to Civivi of which I own several and am very pleased with.
ОтветитьThe Feldspar is a very good option for edc , excellent price and fit n finish for that budget.. Why spending double and triple the money , when you can do your job like a boss with this??
ОтветитьHi Aaron! Can you make a video review of the TOPS MPAT? I really love your channel and your taste, and I wanted to know what's your perspective on it. Thanks!
ОтветитьI received the Feldspar in Orange G-10 and AR-RPM9 Steel for Father's day a couple years back, and it's probably my most carried knife, even over more expensive knives. The Rpm9 Steel is very impressive for a budget Steel and the ergonomics are absolutely perfect imo.
ОтветитьG'day Aaron, I like both of these designs, the Feldspar in particular ........... both very high on the value scale alright.
Might have mentioned before, I purchased the Tiaga as an experiment with D2 in my salty and sometimes humid environment ....... spotted up within a couple of days, ... not even used.
Love the plain jane, but practical, design of it and It still gets a run in my rotation, but no more D2 for me. The bearings have become a little gritty too, though I expect proper maintenance will rectify that.
Btw; as a stainless, (14C28N), alternative to the Feldspar, suggest the Ruike Fang P105.
Anything in Ganzo's 440C, (I have the G720), is very good on the budget front too IMO.
Cheers Duke.
P.S. many thanks to fellow commenter Jack Nemo, (G'day Jack if you are out there, I sincerely hope you and yours are well), for his recommendation early this year to use lanolin as a protectant, its been working a treat on steel and leather alike and for only a few bucks for a tub or jar of the stuff, its a real winner !!!.
I will say its a bit viscous as a pivot lube for my liking, a light machine oil for me, but it will do that function quite well in a small amount also.
The CRJB Gobi is also called the Contenter Knives something or other. It was before CJRB because a thing. I have 2. The natural and a black G10. The quality for price out of a Bud K magazine shocked me.
ОтветитьNot a huge fan with the ar rpm9
I've had problems with 3 of the cjrb knives. 1 chipped the tiniest tip off and a chip right by the choil. 1 broke in half under light tension and the other CANNOT get sharp to save my life!
Got em all at the same time and figure something was off at the ENTIRE plant
Been meaning to grab a gobi
Ответитьdo you know of any retail stores that carry the crjb feldspar or gobi , i'd like to look and feel them before buying them
ОтветитьThose look like We and Civivi knock-offs.
ОтветитьGreat video Aaron. Good choices. Caught me by surprise. The blue and black exclusive from White Mountain Knives for the Feldspar is stunning. Black blade.
ОтветитьThe feldspar looks great. I have the Ria and I love it. Small but very capable and beautiful knife. Good recommendations!
ОтветитьI like these CRJB knives. I got a $30 Feldspar with D2. It sharpens up nicely, holds edge pretty good, and it looks cool. Thought it to be a good work knife, and it was for a short while. The problem I have with mine, the detent that keeps the blade locked in the handle wore off, so it opened in my pocket. Since it was very sharp, it cut me when I went to retrieve it from my pocket one day. Made me sad, I really liked this knife, but now it's unusable because I can't put it in my pocket. Lasted about a month, so I'm hesitant to buy another.
ОтветитьCJRB have some well made/assembled knives. I have the Gobi in carbon fiber and red and, a matching Craig. Fit and finish are really good. I also have a Tigris and it’s probably the sharpest knife out of the box I ever purchased but it’s more of a conversation knife.
ОтветитьOwn a few and have had good luck with CJRB and Artisan. Definitely recommendable. Thanks for the video!
ОтветитьLike I said on one of your previous videos, I love my Gobi.
ОтветитьRosecraft Blades also use Artisan's factory, until they get their planned factory running in Tennessee.
ОтветитьMy lady doesn't even care about knives, got her the feldspar and now she carries it everday! Great knife for the price point
ОтветитьStatgear Ausus Slim. $35 normal price and often for sale for $20. D2 Steel and G10 scales, super good ball bearing action. I've personally batonned mine through branches and have absolutely abused it since I got it from their Kickstarter. Just don't expect the knife to win a beauty contest, pretty Spartanistic design.
ОтветитьI am a sucker for a trailing point
ОтветитьI just ordered the 3” version of the Feldspar yesterday for $28. Good company. D2 and G10 at that price is hard to beat.
ОтветитьOrdering both! Thanks!
ОтветитьI know, you try to stay out of politics. But IMHO US knife community should at least stop advertising Chinese products.
ОтветитьBeen looking for a cheaper knife since i lost my civivi. 2 good options ill be looking into. Would make a good gift for myself
ОтветитьI recently picked up the Feldspar on Amazon on $28! Great budget option!
ОтветитьFeldspar a good one 👍
ОтветитьCJRB Pyrite is upgrade over the Feldspar IMO. The Feldspar is cheaper and has more variants but the Pyrite has stainless steel and a safer locking method. I like the Feldspar but the Pyrite is a bit better.
