I like this sort of detour unofficial short film for us to get to see Mesa by herself and see how life is doing for her after Summer of Mesa. Cinematography has massively improved too from Summer of Mesa which is great. I like the addition of her male friend too, he gave the film a bit of fun it needed inbetween sad moments.

first watch SUMMER OF MESA (2020) <----...und Mesa unglücklich ist, weil ihre blonde Freundin weg ist. In diesem Teil trifft sie auf Emily, ein weiteres süßes Mädchen, bei der ich mir so sehr gewünscht hätte, daß sie mit Mesa als neue Partnerin zusammen kommt! Die passen doch perfekt zusammen! Aber Mesa träumt noch immer von der Romanze mit der blonden Freundin, die offenbar verschwunden ist, und inzwischen bestimmt schon längst mit dem jungen Mann zusammen ist. Ich mußte echt viel weinen bei beiden Teilen, die Spannung und die Sehnsucht ist riesig groß. Auf jeden Fall ein großes Lob an alle SchauspielerInnen!!!

This gentle, romantic and musically beautifully accompanied probe into a sapphic mind should be seen by everybody in order to understand that the Love is universal and gender-independent feeling. Very touching, calming and melancholic at the same time.

How boring

This would have been a perfect ending to the original movie. Summer of Mesa was a great movie, but I felt like it was a little too short and the ending wasn't very satisfactory. If this were added to the end it would have been amazing and a better conclusion IMO.

After reading Summer of Mesa I left a comment about how much I loved it. I watched the sequel and was hoping that there would be an actual reunion of Lilly and Mesa. I get waiting for the train but, would have really like to see more. This doesn’t detract from how much I think the stories are wonderful. It just, like the original left me with a broken heart. I would love to see a second sequel with a happy ending to make me jump for joy. If one ever comes out I WILL definitely read it, hoping for a happier ending.

Mesa is still going through the grief stage. She just needs time to process. Hopefully she realizes the right one is there all along.

Emily should know it is not her when Mesa ran. I hope she finds someone that really cares and not someone using her just as a rebound comfort. I don't think Emily is good at reading body language because Emily zones out when they are together.
