I've got a new MacBook Pro M2 16" and looking for a monitor. The LG one you reviewed here is one I'm considering. I'm a developer and will spend a lot of time in VSCode. I occasionally use Lightroom and Photoshop. Do you still use this monitor? Is there something new you would consider?

what's the best way to protect the screen? Coz I have a 34inch wide that I ended up fixing it twice after accidently puncturing it. LG screens are super delicate.

awesome but those 5k2k displays are too expensive today. so I went with buying two 4K displays side by side.

now only if we can get 5120x2160 @ 240hz for us gamers real 5k is 5120x2880

Great video. In which order do you daisy chain the monitor and the docking station? Which one is connected directly to your Mac?

If your working on personal stuff and nothing pro level I see this monitor ok but if your a pro definitely not going to cut it.

I have a 38" UW (and just ordered the LG 40WP95C), and despite the large screen estate I also use Windows virtual desktops to quickly switch between work and private setup.
Also Windows Power Toys to quickly snap windows to a 1:1:1 or 1:2 layout.
This alone has increased my productivity a lot as even a 38" UW was too small for the 10+ windows I have open when working - Slack, Discord, PHPStorm, Notepad++, Total Commander, VM for database access, Spotify, MusicBee and two Chrome instances (one for testing, one for everything else).

Does it wobble or shake when you type or use the buttons on the monitor?

What display resolution setting do you use? I am using the default, 2560 x 1080 and wondering if that is best? Thank you.

Why the added led bar at the top of your screen? Isnt that just makes the top of the screen very light reflective

I guess I would be better off having 2 5k 27” monitors side by side and enjoy perfect text and picture instead of one big curved display and face the scaling problems

Hi Mike! Love the video. Also watched the desk setup from 2022, and got a lot inspiration for my new home office. Im looking into buying a new monitor, and have been looking at the LG 38" UltraWide, but after seeing this i might just go for the 40". Do you think the extra two inches is worth the almost double price? Im doing UX/UI-design for a living if that helps.

Ultrawide is often not progress... But with higher resolution of 5K, it is way better!
For content (video) production, I would however recommend a separate 4K display (27 inch) for previewing and a larger display for the production tasks...

Hi Mike. I bought this monitor after watching your video. I just would like to ask you couple of important questions. I work with Lightroom + Photoshop and edit RAW files and inside Premiere Pro. Would you please tell what picture mode I should be in when I am editing RAW files inside Lightroom and Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Would that be sRGB or DCI-P3 or something else? Also do you need to calibrate this monitor using a calibration software such X-rite Display Pro. Thank you for your help.

Question, are you connecting your MSI Raider directly to the monitor or through the USB dock?

MacBook Air M1 16GB can handle this monitor? Will not be damaged? (MacBook)

Do you have any issues with your Logitech mouse? Mine (mx 3s) is lagging. Dod you connect it via Bluetooth or with the dongle ?

You are not loosing resolution in scaling mode. You are just scaling everything to be bigger and more easier to see, but amount of pixels is the same. UI elements get larger
