Some of the sins are just stupid because they are given in spite of how the movie ends.

For sin 3, I imagine she’s shivering because the ghosts are following the patient. You know, since he’s a ghost whisperer.

Biggest plot flaw of all: If dead people / ghosts "don't know they're dead", then how come Grandma answers the Mom's question *at the graveyard*, where obviously Grandma knows she's dead ? But maybe Grandma is the smartest ghost.

I can't believe you guys didn't unsin the car scene for the AMAZING acting of Toni Collette! Come on!

The sad part about this movie is that the final twist is one that you can really only appreciate once.
Unfortunately, when I saw this movie in theaters, I was so exhausted from partying the night before that I fell asleep shortly after the "I see dead people" scene and woke up right at the ending.
So I never got to enjoy the film. Sad.

If you think this is a good reveal wait until you know what the movie is really about…

Well its cold in the first scene because one who sees the dead is near. The dead somehow knows who to seek out, aka the once who can see them, Therefore cold will follow in his steps

People be wasting their whole day defending M. Night Shyamalan’s absurdly obvious plot holes like swooning, frothing groupies. I see dumb people.

The "Next Fall" thing is actually a brilliant bit of misdirection. We assume it is now later enough that he'd be healed. But it could've have been a week. That was intentional on the filmmaker's part. Go sin yourself. Also, the intruder in the beginning attracts ghosts. That's why it's cold. Duh.

I don't believe the parents heard him screaming over the music I think they heard the balloon pop.
Though his mum heard him because
- she was closer
- she had probably heard it before and / or she heard a scream and knew / guessed it was her son through a bit of paranoia
- maybe mum instinct???

isn't the scene in the beginning where she feels cold in the basement because that dude attracts ghosts that try speak to him

I was so shocked at the reveal when I watched this the first time.

Sorry buddy but that twist has NEVER been done before. Sure there have been movies where people learned later they were dead, but not like this. And we all disagree with you sin count. You made fun of a well acclaimed and loved movie. Thumbs down.👍👍

I don't think that brat's dad invited Cole because he wanted him in particular or because of his mom being friends with him and his wife. He probably wanted to show off in front of all his class and when the kid wanted to single out Cole by not inviting him, that's when he made him invite him

Wind cellars tend to be cool and she was in a sleeveless dress. Her chill was merely a foreshadowing of the events in the movie.

The scene Cole gets locked in the cupboard with a ghost and starts screaming in pain and terror haunts me.

Malcolm is in no way reliving his death in front of Cole? Well, firstly, maybe the ghosts simply aren't scary or even noticeable when they aren't reliving their deaths. And secondly, Malcolm was killed because he tried and failed to cure a kid who saw things that aren't there... so, yeah, like ALL the other ghosts he IS trying to get closure for his death,

The film is half fantasy horror and drama, of course you’ll find errors, stop trying to find errors in films that debate any logic

I know I'm YEARS late but I recently watched this movie for the first time ever. And once Malcolm got shot and it time skipped, I just knew he was dead.

Why would Cole say to Dr. Malcolm: "You won't tell anyone my secret, will you?", if he knew that Dr. Malcolm was dead. He already knows the doctor can't communicate with the living.

The movie "The Others" came out around the same time as "The Sixth Sense"... I like them both, in my opinion they are classics from a bye gone era in the Horror Genera. I think "The Others" would have done exponentially better if it didn't come out after "The Sixth Sense".
