I am confused why it says either "Your connection is not private" or "This site can’t be reached The connection was reset.", when I am trying to connect to my Default gateway. I am sure I haven't done anything wrong I have been trying to do this for about an hour. I NEED HELP!!!

Do I set up port forwarding on the router or the gateway, the latter of which for me is Amazon eero? The eero gateway has software that allows me to enter the IP Address of the device and the port number (8080), but even though the direct access works when I am on my home network connects to the device, when I am away I can't connect to the device.

Hey TInkernut, I have a question! I can always use the ping command to get a certain domain's ip address, so what is the point of hiding it? Or in different words, how can I set my server up, so a wrong ip address gets shown?

If someone knows enough to want to port forward, they're going to know what a router is

People can easily get your IP ethier if you are using this website for subdomain or domain. Like, the only thing that you need to do for getting someone's IP from the subdomain he created is just entering this simple command in Windows Command Prompt (cmd but not just cmd):
ping (the domain name)
and then it will get the IP address so easily, and it will output it in the cmd console window.
