I activated office 2007 over the internet lol.

It's a box I see very often at work but it usally has foam fillings for another product that goes in.
(usually phones/tablets) they never have any branding on them which would lead me to believe it's China knock-off stuff lol.

Also pack Bang&Olufsen products that are always branded.

Honestly had this EXACT thing happen to me ordering a DS4 on ebay. Seller had great feedback and supposedly sold me a genuine product with photos. arrives and it's a super fake unconvincing one and i go to leave bad feedback only find others storming there now too. needless to say i reported them but it smells so fishy to see this happening with office keys.

I bought Office 2010, way back when. I was moving it from computer to computer. I got a message saying I've loaded on too many computers, and it wouldn't work. I downloaded and installed LibreOffice. Screw Microsoft.

So I sell on amazon.when I was on a 2 day vacation out of town. Some one hack into my seller account. While I was driving back to my house. Idk how they got into my 2 a account.

i just got a licence by the same person but with a windows 10 key, hope it works🤣

I find it very sad that you cast such doubt on the authenticity of genuine authority saftware.

Product keys can be used multiple times before Microsoft decides to block it. I had used a Windows XP key on multiple computers at my house and after the first time activating over the internet, it would not activate on the other computers; however if I did phone activation, it would work just fine for each computer. I'm sure there's a limit of how many times you can use a product key before Microsoft deems a product key as "pirated".

Why does Microsoft allow a product key to be used more than once? I assume back then that Microsoft would give the benefit of doubt that you just had to reinstall your XP copy on a new computer because your previous broke or something. Microsoft's activation software didn't communicate and tell Microsoft "hey I'm still using this key" for anything. Once a copy of the installation was activated, it was permanently activated and Microsoft, back then, did not have any counter measures for using their keys more than once unless they saw a key being used widespread and then they could properly blacklist the key for improper usage.

alot of those ebay reviews that are "A+++ Seller would buy again" or something like that are all like auto reviews or something. My ebay account has left tons and tons of those kinds of reviews dispite me never leaving those kinds of reviews.

The "shutdown" of online activation is due to TLS upgrades in the servers. The error means the OS and/or the software could not validate the secure connection to the server due to the upgrades.

I believe a modified setup can have an unattended file with the product key.

This is exactly the same Office 2010 box that I have, down to it installing Professional Plus and activating without issue. I wonder if we have the same product key!

Luckily, every single other copy of Office I've purchased has appeared legitimate, although tbh I've not purchased anything newer than 2010 through eBay.

While I may at some point be interested in getting an actual genuine copy of 2010, I honestly purchased it so I can put onto a VM for the sake of nostalgia. So for now, I'll do with the bootleg.
