This album is literally one for the record books. I think that HTE was good. It had a very full track list with several stand out tracks. But this…FUCK! And I don’t think we would be hearing this kind of growth from Billie if she ( and Finneas) didn’t do some of the things she and Finneas cooked up on HTE ( like oxytocin, overheated, goldwing, ) and the guitar songs. The lyricism , the orchestration and the production are PERFECTION!!

Also commentary on 'The Diner': a LOT of women relate to it. I've never had a stalker, but I can say growing up as a woman, this illicits the same feeling of discomort of getting unwanted male attention/ dealing objectification etc. The amount of times I've felt unsafe in any place I've lived...you think you're fine, and then that freedom is always taken from you at one point or another. Always feeling watched or any move you make some man is going to take as you being "interested".
I've even woken up in my own apartment to find maintenance men, whom had come into my apartment to work on something while I was asleep. Soon to discover they had done it on a few occasions and I wasnt notified. So while we dont all relate specifically to a stalker, a creepy man or male entitlement? Yeah, haha
