I must say the turbocharged 2019 Subaru WRX STI sounds way better than this. The turbo spools and sounds are way better and it has more HP. Don't know why Subaru would release a new car that sounds less exciting than the previous model.

I agree with the fast car statement. When i was 18 i got an 11 wrx and wanted more power. I got a camaro lt1 which is fast but a little to quick and now that im almost 22 im actually wanting an sti. The handling, the feeling of boost hitting, i actually prefere it over an na v8. Maybe its because all my friends have subies but theyre just fun cars. Hoping to get one end of this year or begining of next

Rev limiter, speed governed, electronically downgraded, smaller turbo, after 2011 the wrx became known as a fast car and got lots of flak from media officials and government along with police as being dangerously too fast. Subaru was forced to make there car slower ever since

STIs and the BRZ/86 are phenomenal drivers cars. They nail the perfect ratio of more fun than a regular car but not too much to be boring on public roads. You can ride the cars hard in everyday used and have a blast. The crazy horsepower cars are instant to jail when you get even a little rowdy.

I test drove one of these a year ago and it’s such a wonderful throwback to fun, old school cars. It’s not the fastest, smoothest, or most comfortable car but it made me smile the entire time and that’s what actually matters with cars like this.

70MPH 2900RPM is not ideal, that old school engine and gearbox is drinking fuel like a modern 3.0 turbo with less power💀💀

I drive my cousins 2021 sti in sport# and I hate the torque steer on turns. And I'm watching you here I don't see much of it at all.

its really not been refined since the 08+. same driveline with nothing more than body changes. I love my 2011, but the EJ is a dinosaur.

I agree, I'm not a fan of the spoiler. But suburu is really good at keeping the price low by skimping on things that don't matter as much and keeping reliable with things that do matter more to me.

Had a 2013 STI, I ordered new form Japan for $29,500. SCREAMING bargain. Later got a 2015 STI, ordered from Japan for 32,500. At today's prices, it can feel overrated. In real world roads, nothing will catch you. So many good memories, including out running a cop on a rally stage, in Mexico.

Evo is still superior till this day and has been proven time and time again. And it's still more reliable than all the STI models.

It would be nice to have a look at the engine , see if I could put twins on the intakes . I’d do something mad like exhaust coming out of the sides . 1000 bhp be my dream job
