It's hard to know what kind of character Lois needs to be to not come across too much of a cynic that almost doesn't believe in the importance of honesty. Times have changed since the '80s. Making a woman be really vulnerable is not expressed too often in this day in age. Romance is like a long lost art. The only modern movie that breaks the mold is Jack Black where the girl really does genuinely express attraction and doesn't have an almost sour response to feeling it. In other words, we seem to fight against romance more and more these days.

Margot Kidder was such a hottie and definitely the perfect actress for the role.

He doesn't want anyone to know his age but he tells a reporter his weakness is he can't see through lead. Superman is still a bit of a naïve farm boy at heart I guess. Lex uses that info to his advantage. Every hero has to have a weakness after all, otherwise they'd be nothing to overcome.

One of the first motion pics of this period I know that makes mention the dangers of smoking and drinking. Nice touch.
