this is 100% genius, i've been my WHOLE LIFE saying this, i'm an engineer and i'm obsessed with "dots and lines" (search for the textbook named like that), cause graphs say absolutely everything about almost all of chemical phenomena... same goes for a videotape of boxing!!!!!, it's there, right in front of you, something that you couldn't understand while in a fight!!!!!! this is genius, you should write a book about that, i'm an authority about techincal scientific writing, send a personal message to me and i could couch you to write a book around this video right here, we could make a LOT of money together

ОтветитьCan anybody recommend somebody who has a good uppercut and cross?
ОтветитьThis is great, I follow every thing said in here when I study film and yeah at first I just watched one fighter primarily Joe Louis but then I started to mix it up combine techniques with other boxers Liston, Foreman, Patterson and Ali but then I started to study modern boxing techniques such as footwork from Pacquiao, Angles from Tyson or Defense from Mayweather as I gain more experience and study more Film I can see alot more though I never really mute any commentary as its boring to watch but I really never pay attention as I am more focused on the fight than the commentary
ОтветитьHey eboxing! Beautiful video. Wanna share my experience doing film study.
I watched a HEMA fight and noticed they don't have an equivalent for jabbing at range. When at range they are only trying to set up blitzing fight ending single shots which makes sense given the nature of their weapons.
My takeaway is when your opponent is trying to set up big KO shots with his feet planted, don't oblige them. Don't throw pit-a-pat punches when he's waiting to slug you, oblige him to abandon his stable stance and harass him when he does.
watching a so called "best" fight bums over and over again would probably only be SO useful. especially if its all that "best" ever did is fight bums and have protection and A side advantages and official purchasing power. unless of course THOSE are the skills u want to learn.
ОтветитьStudy other sports. Watching baseball pitchers slomo on repeat made me improve on throwing my cross a lot.
ОтветитьPlease upload more. More regularly 😊
ОтветитьI've been in need of this video so thank you! What do you see as the pros and cons of the rhythm step and the L step? Would love to know
ОтветитьWhat does IM/ST mean
ОтветитьAy didn't nobody notice how he criticized his student 😭😂😂
ОтветитьPeople completely lacks the studying mindset today. Almost everybody is a mindless consumer searching content like this. If you dont get it in a nice package it isnt real. This goes for everything in life.
Ответитьanother absolutely great video
ОтветитьThis really reminded me of how to analyze a fight/fighter like for example: how they get inside, how they use certain tactics, how they utilize unique punches, how they exit exchanges safely, the list goes on. Thank you
ОтветитьGuys I've been learning so much from Justin Gaetjhe!
ОтветитьI use video editing apps to study film because they allow you to to watch an exchange frame by frame so you don't miss anything
ОтветитьNice video bro!
ОтветитьBollox. If you are a beginner then study amateur boxers not this level.
If you wanted to learn how to surf would you get a coach or watch the best big wave surfers in the world?
this video is great but i really am having trouble with writing about the techniques and things like that. any advice?
ОтветитьThank you :)
ОтветитьGod, you are just beyond incredible. Such good work! Deepest respect!
ОтветитьA righteous life is the best study guide
Ответитьbrilliant video. didn't even know about some hot keys. thanks a lot.
ОтветитьThank you for making this video, I always felt like I could be more methodical in my approach but didn’t have a specific roadmap. And the hot keys really make it possible!
ОтветитьThose pro and cons notes reminded me of when i was just starting out discovering the complexity of boxing when i was a kid. It wasnt as in depth but did doodles of mike tyson, ali and prince nas and compared each others styles lol
ОтветитьThank you 🙏🏽
ОтветитьCould've sold this on a DVD back in the day and retire from that, well done and helps me rationalize my own over-analyzing!
ОтветитьHahahaha when he said turn off the commentary I instantly thought of 1920 boxing when you had to either be there or have a radio to hear it 👍 lol
ОтветитьPerfect advice! Studied that same wrestling video for Boxing because older era Boxers were also wrestlers lol I know people are really critical of George Foreman's commentary but I've learned more from his commentary than anyone else's and most trainers.
ОтветитьExcellent video
Ответитьgreat vid
Ответитьgreat vedio, can you list a few classic fight(not too old) that worth film studying? thanks
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьHey man, what is the best way to find the best footage? Maybe I missed this part in your video.
also, do you have a playlist for yourself, of fights and training footage, that you would be willing to Share?
Great video, thanks for the advice 💪🏽
Great content, very well done. Keep em coming!!!
ОтветитьQuestion: do you have any access to, or know how to GET access to, fight films from a top down angle? I've found little bits and pieces over the years (usually no more than a minute) and I'd love to watch even a couple rounds from that vantage point. They let you see angles in ways that typical broadcast views just don't
ОтветитьMonkey see monkey do. There's a bunch of sports psych (and non-sports psych) related research on how watching other people perform tasks(at every skill level) increases our capacity to do those tasks as well. This video is a gem 💎 your content makes great pandemic watching.
ОтветитьI’m Chris from the hurtful letter he sent ... i haven’t become a better boxer but my self esteem has been crushed ... great video I have liked and subscribed
ОтветитьYou're wrong sir. My next move is to watch this video again, taking notes so that nothing is missed. THEN Imma go watch a GGG fight
ОтветитьYou’re from shortboxing academy I recognized your voice
