Aetius is missing
ОтветитьAugustus was good at administration but relied heavily on that of Agrippa. This is list has other flaws like, putting Belisarius above top 5.
ОтветитьAgrippa should be wayyyyy higher.
Ответитьthey all look Romanian
ОтветитьCamillus? He conquered Veii and Falerii and saved the Republic from the gaul invaders even though he was exiled because of a false accusation. In Ardea he recruited warriors and liberated Rome (which was in ruins). He also defeated the surrounding Etruscan attackers twice. It's a shame that he is not on the list
ОтветитьScipio Africanus shoud be the Top 2, literally changed everything in the second punic war and defeated Hanibal.
And all of that before the marius reforms.
No Antony?
ОтветитьCaesar
Ответить4 legions, 20,000 man and one brave ass commander vs Unknown terrain, feared enemies, a supply line sometimes non-existent and virtually impenetrable forts. But still conquered modern day france and killed 250,000 dead gauls in a single battle. I know who my number one is
ОтветитьI saw another Shorts where the worst emperor was Constantine 😂
ОтветитьAgrippa a bit low Pompey a bit high otherwise we're good
ОтветитьMajorian?!?
ОтветитьBest Generals:
3..GALLIENVS
2. AVRELIANVS
1. SCIPIO AFRICANVS & IVLIVS CAESAR
Honorable mentions would be Marius and Majorian.
ОтветитьI'm probably just dumb but I think Scipio is over rated
Ответитьcan't believe I actually mostly agree with this list.. i usually find something to complain about but damn you picked a good list bro
ОтветитьAurelian and Belisarius !!!!
ОтветитьThe fact my boy Setorius gets no love while absolutely having his way with Pompey is a travesty!
ОтветитьMy list
1. Caesar
2. Belisarius
3. Aurelian
4. Agrippa
5. Scipio Africanus
6. Scipio Aemilianus
7. Pompey Magnus
8. Sulla
9. Majorian
10. Constantine
11 Bonus. Gallienus
Gallienus is heavily underrated
ОтветитьThe fact Paulinus is not even mentioned is criminal!
ОтветитьWhy is sulla theree
ОтветитьNo Sertorius?
ОтветитьWhere was septimius Severus and Vespasian
ОтветитьThere is no comparison the early Romans commadatore commanded professional army's later generals commanded militias which the had to lead bravely or fail the early Republican armies could lead themselves and a Caesar put it the death on one did not effect the whole believe for every one of the examples here in all of history there a thousand imperitor you don't ever hear about but we're there were real and told the real story
ОтветитьConstantine scipio and caesar top 3
Agrippa above all the others
Aurelian and pompey have no place in the top 10 are they doing at n2 and 3💀
Ok but..... Which Scipio?
ОтветитьHeraclius honorable mention
ОтветитьMarius belongs here. Probably above Sulla.
ОтветитьYou made a mistake by adding belisarius here
ОтветитьFabius Maximus where? And also where's Camillus?
ОтветитьWhat belisarius did was way more impressive than aurelians restoration although he didn’t restore the whole empire he did beat much harder enemies in much weaker conditions all the while being attacked by people back in Constantinople and Justinian didn’t help him a lot so I would switch belisarius and Aurelian. 1. Scipio, 2. Caesar , 3. Belisarius
ОтветитьBelisarius retook most of the empire with a force of three people, 7 sheep and a cage full of lobsters and you dont put him on 1?
Ответитьnice top list!
ОтветитьPaolo is the best general
