On the west coast of Ireland here. Great man a bit breezy. Stay safe
ОтветитьThat brings back memories. Around about 1977 or 1978 I fished a club match on Holyhead Breakwater in what was later described as a force 11. In those days the lower level had railway lines on it and was completely flooded, because the water could not drain off quick enough. The whole Breakwater was shaking as each wave hit and rocks and stones were being thrown over. My friend and I bailed out with 2 hours, of a 5 hour the match, left to go. Incredibly there were two locals to our left still on there , one of whom had caught a conger eel about 10lb about 30 minutes earlier. As we made our way back the sheer weight of the water coming over was driving us almost to our knees. That was one of the most frightening experiences of my life.
ОтветитьAmazing footage stay safe x
ОтветитьNo fishing then this weekend mate
ОтветитьMarvelous footage of a real natural marvel…
Well done!
Cheers Tommy, cobwebs well and truly cleared. I remember being at penmon many years ago, the waves were hitting the lighthouse and breaking over the top. I love a bit of mad weather. 🧔 👍

ОтветитьThat’s some scary shit going on. All jest aside, fingers crossed for those affected. Makes me feel a wee bit sick watching this.
ОтветитьAmazing bit of filming of anglsey. Just subscribed to ur channel. And I meet a good mate of urs, Draygo?? A few weeks ago, he was fishing beummaris. Sound fellas and tight lines to you.
ОтветитьBrill footage. Its been the bitter cold as well as the wind. Brave souls you are! Thank you.
ОтветитьGlad you were able to hang on to the beard Tommy! Thought it was a gonna at one stage 😅
ОтветитьVeracious waves 🌊 hitting against the breakwater and also against the rocks of time.
ОтветитьThat's nothing boss.. seen it worst on rutland.😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьVery exhilarating in that weather
Ответитьthis is bbq / string vest and cap weather for yorkshire lads....(dont count ont cap)
ОтветитьWow awesome that TJ mate, I love storms, brilliant footage.
ОтветитьI holidayed in Trearddur Bay back in August 2014 - not a lot of different to your experience in this video
ОтветитьIn January 1974, a few months before I started work at Great Dun Fell they had recorded a gust of 134mph. The record would probably have been higher as the wind was strengthening but the anemometer was destroyed shortly after that gust was recorded. I never saw winds like that while working there but there were a few occasions when progress to windward was only possible on hands and knees.
ОтветитьCarp fished in 70,80 and 90 mile an hour winds ,not fun😮,wouldnt want to be in the north sea right now .
ОтветитьGlad we decided not to head over this weekend we would of been battered at Newry beach in the van 😳😳
ОтветитьAmazing wasnt it.. well done for staying safe and thanks for showing us.
ОтветитьAwesome, that's one hell of a storm.
ОтветитьBrutal
Ответить❤
ОтветитьPerfect for lobbing a 20g lure off the rocks! Seriously though someone has upset Mother Nature! Wow!
ОтветитьDeffo need a 8wt fly line in that!
ОтветитьIt was bad over here in Pembrokeshire.. Mad winds an danger to life warning over the phone on Friday night. What a weekend mate
ОтветитьReally, that's a storm??? Sea pretty choppy in places but your waves are mostly tiny??? You need to come down to our Southern Oceans (below New Zealand) and see some proper waves. I guess yours look more impressive if you are on the spot but I honestly expected huge seas???
ОтветитьAwesome, great footage. That'll bring the mackerel in😂
ОтветитьThankyou for braving those winds and showing us the true force of Mother Nature. Those waves were terrifying. Stay safe both of you
ОтветитьBrilliant to you and your Mr's.
ОтветитьThank you so much for the showing us the power of this storm. I am so sorry for those who were badly affected by it. This was amazing footage. The sand being blown around was wild and I bet it’ll be in your beard for ages! 😅
ОтветитьIn February 1990 there was a worse storm, again from the north west, in Cemses there was a lot of damage, the houses by the pier were all flooded and the walls along the beach was almost completely destroyed. The higher tide didnt help, cars were floating down the road at Penrhyn!!
There were photos in the Stag Inn for many years!
Darragh stripped a few tiles off my house in Gwelfor!!
You have a short memory my friend. 😂 The storm that destroyed Holyhead Marina a few years back was way worse and caused far more damage. Well done for getting out and documenting though mate. You and your Mrs are Mad. 😂👊
ОтветитьLooks like my fishing Kayak launch spot at lon isallt is a bust this weekend. Great vid.
ОтветитьGet in Tommy lad!!! 😉
ОтветитьFfilm da iawn
