Can’t wait for your next video on contact with the weights on the reins to explain amount of contact.
ОтветитьLove your energy and how you explain things
ОтветитьIm going to try this when i ride tomorrow. It makes so much sense when you explain it this way
ОтветитьThankyou for the tip to rewatch this video DMA & Megan! Yes, just what I needed! Biggest takeaway: the importance of Grand Prix hands in every move all the way up the levels; i love Alicia's principle of always "working with the end in mind"! ie that one can't progress until steering & thus shoulder control is effective! Dressage is a new discipline for me, so yes, developing the steering in of fundamental importance! I also love the concept of developing one's aids to the point of being a mere thought, a suggestion! When I think of dressage that's definitely how it appears! I'm working on my Grand Prix hands as I work with my gorgeous Arab X mare, also new to dressage! Hoping to see some real progress the more I implement all the guidance I'm constantly getting from your videos & discussion! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🐎🐴🐎❤🙏
ОтветитьWow. Still super useful three months after my initial watch. Thank you so much Alicia for being an amazing teacher and sharing with all of us 🎠🎠
ОтветитьLove this. So clear and simple. For the giveaway, my biggest take home was the returning to the middle. Seems so obvious now but definitely guilty of leading the nose and continuing to keep hand out even after the nose follows and the shoulder falls out!
ОтветитьGreat Video!
(Giveaway:) I've learned it's ok if you need extra help (open your rein), but once you achieved what you want, you need to take the aid away.
It also goes with the 'don't nag' principle as well when you are just: ask - GP hands - ask GP hands.
ОтветитьIf the dash cam worked for this… this would be exactly the video I needed!! Still a good video though
ОтветитьOh gurl, you give me hope!
Ответитьlove this Alicia!! and it has helped me with my mare QUITE a bit! some previous advice/training I've had had me using low wide hands and loose reins, which was all well and good for trotting around with her nose in the ground, but really nothing else. Now we're working on getting more consistent connection, she goes on the bit and is starting to use her hind end more :) AND is becoming spook proof! AND this is making evrything else we're learning go so much faster and easier. WOOHOO!
ОтветитьMy biggest takeaway from this video was learning to use different rein techniques! Thank you for explaining this so well, I love how all your videos apply to every level! This was a SUPER helpful video and I can’t wait to go try it tomorrow! 😍🐴
ОтветитьIf I had to describe my reaction to every video on your page, it would be the mind blown animation 🙈💥 learning so much!
ОтветитьThis video was so helpful. Thank you!! It’s kind of embarrassing saying this, but I have a really hard time maintaining appropriate contact and holding a crop at the same time. I know generally how I am supposed to hold it, but in practice, it all falls apart and my hands turn into a floppy mess. Can you make a video about this basic skill?
ОтветитьBrilliant easy way to understand thank you
ОтветитьThank you! This has really helped me understand connection better 🤩
ОтветитьJust found you!! SUBSCRIBED ....🙋🇦🇺🐎
ОтветитьAny help for training on uneven surfaces? I don't have access to an arena/school I can only ride in the field (uneven grass on a slight slope...) or out in the woods so everything is much harder due not having a lovely flat arena.... So wish I had an arena 😭
ОтветитьWould you say that your seat is also key to the steering? Should we also consider how our legs are also directing the ribs and use them before or in conjunction with the rein aids?
ОтветитьWhen you say ‘ I’m steering through the balance’ what is your body doing that tells the horse to circle?? X
Ответить👌🏻😍
ОтветитьThank you. That is all such great advice.
ОтветитьAlicia you’re the bomb. I love how you take the good the bad and the ugly. It’s not always pretty. You are so generous with your knowledge and you know how to relay the knowledge. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьI love your energy and the way you teach! If your ever hiring let me know ! 😂
ОтветитьOn my goodness. It's silly but I'm close to tears right now. I have tryed and watched so many videos trying to improve but nothing has worked. I was getting frustrated and disappointed and I thought I just couldn't do it. Your video solved my problems. Thank you so much I can't tell you how happy I am right now! Your amazing!
P.s my name is actually Ellie Clarke. (Using my sister's account) xxxxx
I love this live thank you so.much I'm doing this tomorrow with my Buddy
ОтветитьWould love to learn more to do the sport 🐎❤️
Ответить❤
ОтветитьDo I need to change out my stirrups to teach me and my horse to learn to ride? I have trail riding stirrups
ОтветитьNow I have realized how I missed this. After 8 months of the war in my country (I from Ukraine) I eventually feel the interest in horses and horse riding again. So pity I couldn't use the prize that you gave me as a session with Alisia but hope may be some day I could attach to this incredible world again. Alisia's explanation is comprehensive and clear and horse is absolutely charming. So nice to watch your videos again.
ОтветитьRecently started riding a new horse and I feel like I have no control. He wants to run through the contact and it makes me feel so insecure. I am super excited to go and try what I have learned here today. Absolutely LOVE your videos! Thanks so much. Regards all the way from South Africa, Celeste
ОтветитьThank you so very much for these videos.
ОтветитьYou are brilliant!
ОтветитьI really needed this 😻my horse has terrible balance but really don't like that I use the reins to show him where to go, I think this could solve my issue 😻🙀😹
ОтветитьBeautiful horse! Love the tips, thank you!
ОтветитьThank you ❤️. I am more confident with my cantor, and my balance is much better now. Greetings from Castroville Texas!!!
Ответить🤗Super well explained 👌
ОтветитьProfundity! Blew my mind!
ОтветитьWhat a great video! My Andalusian is new to Dressage and I am not a Grand Prix rider YET - (but I will be chanting that mantra from now on). I recently went to a show and we got in the ribbons, but the comments were mostly about contact. This video was a great reminder of what another trainer taught me previously. I am excited to see how much improvement we will achieve after being consistent with this training!
ОтветитьI learn so much THX nobody was telling me the truth about my hands. So all told me to keep my hands down ;D THX you sooo much!!!
ОтветитьAwesome!!!!
ОтветитьAbsolutely love your video, want to watch all of them! Hoping to take away a lot from them and take them into training with my off the track standardbred, finding schooling really difficult right now so praying some research and practice makes some change. You’ve got a great encouraging voice 🥰
ОтветитьSaw this about an year ago for the first time. I still learn somethihg everytime I rewatch it. Also wasn't the name Dressage Mastery TV before??
ОтветитьI'm a para rider , and struggle to keep my horse constantly in a contact. Can you do a eye view video so we can see from rider perspective
ОтветитьGreat Video ! 👍
ОтветитьWessel is such a beautiful horse , he' s amazing. At first i could see one hand steering and then moving back in place ( not as i was taught with huge open rein to turn etc..) but after you moved to the part entitled " grand prix rider" , you're far away from the camera and how to do "travers" with your back turned etc i could not see anything and yet this is such an an important lesson , ..one suggestion perhaps would to be doing it like " ralenti" with the lovely lady who's filming so close she could make a focus on your hands ..as it's so subtle ..like what do you do to do "travers" etc.. yep I.. " can do this" in my dreams Alicia ;-) i still don't get it 100% but you're amazing !
ОтветитьAmazing, I'll try tomorrow. Going to the right all my horses come off the wall and I struggle to get them back, hands, legs don't work. Going to the left is straight. I'll try opening my left rein and going back to Grange prix hands and let you know.
ОтветитьCan’t wait to practice it with my horse tomorrow evening ! Thank you 🙏
ОтветитьHow does the hind leg tell the front leg where to go on the circle?
ОтветитьWhat kind of saddle are you using? I need to get that.
Ответить
