I assume the idea of evil would simply replace the members if they were destroyed, it's implied void has had to do this at least once.

My fan theory is that Void is secretly in control and Femto is just a pawn who believes himself to be more.

The way i see it i doubt the god hand will be killed but will be probably imprisoned somehow in for eternity not being able to directly influence anything anymore just exist in some plane of existence of there own be it hell or the void itself. The void hand as concepts really remind me of the Forsaken in a sense thou not having physical bodies maybe yet and the one behind them like the Dark one from The Wheel of Time essentially will have to be dealt with the same way by end of Berserk I'm guessing. Hopefully we get to finish Bersek by the time i grow a white beard.

What if the reason no one can really hit Griffith is due to there hate for him and Richard hit him because he had disappointment towards him. Guts had no hate for Griffith when he beat him unlike the first time. I’m sure skull night lost due to his hate for void. But his hate came out at the end. Guts has had time to develop. If he can tame himself maybe he could tame the berzerk armor. Maybe that’s why skull knight could use it so long is he didn’t really have hate till the end? Then guts and skull knights story would be like reading a book and then reading it backwards. Instead of a spiral unless casca dies?

I think it would be cool if at some point Guts would have to throw his sword into the abyss or something like that to seal it off or to strike some final blow to knock Griffith (or the idea of evil) into it. It would be nice to see him have to give it up for one last, final act.. and thereby giving up being a warrior.

Sounds like the god hand are just humans manifestations channeling that feeling similar to how a mage utilizes mana flowing through themselves or the realm to cast spells. The strong emotional concepts are completely innocuous, but when someone experiences strong emotional turmoil it becomes easy for those emotional concepts to be drawn to them. Once the door is opened it's hard for said person to cast off the feeling, because they've become an emotional wreck like an inconsolable child. On the subconscious level they become ruled by the emotion, but have enough sentience to act of their own volition. If god hand were to die, the feelings would just go back to being innocuous like it always has, but will not have the guiding influence of that person guiding it.

You cant kill a god hand because killing and life and death is a part of the physical world. The god hands exist beyond those boundaries. Cute idea tho!

I think the God Hand being killed is part of the so called destiny in Berserk, which if that's bound to happen, then it will happens, and probably someone else will replace the member.

The thing is... What happen if one member is not destined to die? Now that could drive the God Hand a little off since Guts has been avoiding his destiny for a long time

I have a theory I hear no where else. That is that the God Hand have a limited time to exist I mean its members will die eventually. The Eclipse happens every 216 years stands to reason that on every eclipse event a new member of the God Hand is born and we don't see former members of the God Hand roaming about is most than likely they died before a new member of the God Hand is chosen.

I think if the God Hand died you probably get an end of what is essentially the Dark Ages. If you look at King Gaiseric it does seem close to the final end of the Roman Empire, once that occurred you had the infamous Black Death which is regarded as the start of the Dark Ages. So once the God Hand is gone if not the Middle Ages we'd probably hit the Renaissance a time of growth and new life.

I recently started considering how Void might actually be controlling all the other Godhand and I don’t mean in the way that the Godhand control the Apostles but that he is actually possessing them with full access to their minds.

Perhaps he also feeds on the negative emotions that some people have for Griffith, so the only ones who could hurt him are those who do not hate him. That would explain why Rickert was capable of hitting him while Guts and Skull Knight could not succeed in landing hits on Griffith or Skull Knight.

The idea of evil is the heart of evil and Void is its mind. He can replace the other members because we have seen what appeared to be former Godhand from back when Skull Knight started his quest for vengeance and we know that Skull Knight knows that Godhand can be killed because he tells Guts that it’s possible before Guts stabs Slan.

I don’t think the idea of evil can be killed unless humanity stops believing in evil and everyone becomes free from hatred through enlightenment, which obviously isn’t happening. Void will probably survive in the end but I think that Griffith will die at the hands of someone other than Guts.

You keep mentioning destiny but what is there is none. You see Void is based off the buddhist school of thought right. In buddhism there is no grand design, no script only the choices you make. Griffith choose to sacrifice his comrades to become Femto. Guts choose to leave causing Griffith to break. You are the sum of your choices nothing more.

See beserk is good. But the fact that this has so many ways it could end, and we don’t know anything basically still. It’s crazy. Sometimes I give up on the thought we will ever see an ending to this masterpiece. Honestly even annoyed at times lol.
